    Xbox One Media Player HELP!


    I have two xbox ones, one in my basement and one in my bedroom. The xbox one in my basement can see and play files from my Windows Home Server media server just fine, but my Xbox One in my bedroom can see the media server but says that there
    are no files or content on it. The settings on my bedroom xbox seem to be setup for streaming and every other device in my home can see and play content from my media server so I don't *think* its a permissions issue. I even went as far as doing a factory
    reset on my bedroom xbox one but it didn't help. I'm at a loss here so any help/tips would be appreciated on what I might have forgotten to do.

    Thanks for your response! If your NAS supports DLNA, the Xbox One will be able to play media using the

    "Media Player"     application. Simply open Media Player, allow it to detect the server on your network, browse your media, and play!

    Sorry to hear about the Media Player app issues, I can definitely understand how frustrating that could be. There was a recent service alert that my have caused issues if you were trying to install the Media Player app, but this issue has been resolved.
    If you are experiencing issues with the Media Player losing connection, please go ahead and create a new thread. This way you can receive support specifically tailored to you. In the meantime, try Uninstalling and

    If you already have the MP3 files, you can simply transfer them to a USB drive or play them over DLNA and play from the Media Player app (there are also a diverse range of apps available on the Xbox Store to achieve this as well). Check our

    I am having the exact same issue. Uninstalled Media Player and now it's unavailable... Very frustrating. Why does Xbox One Media Player feel like a huge step back from Xbox 360 Media Player?
