XBox One Media Player App will not pull movie album artwork through DLNA

Has anyone found a resolution besides using PLEX to stream their collected movies through DLNA and have the XBox one pull the metadata?

Info:

I use a GoFlex Seagate Home 2TB to stream my media from. Artwork is included in my files as well as other information such as author, actors, year, etc.

I have an external drive with the same movies on it and when the external is plugged through USB to the XBox, the media player app will show the movie cover, but the NAS through DLNA still does not.

Any help or recommendations would be great, Microsoft told me that metadata cannot be provided through NAS and DLNA.

Does xbox one have a system video player like what the 360 had?

The Xbox One does have a system video player app - its Xbox Video. In its current state it can play xbox video marketplace content (tv shows & movies) and it can also accept DLNA play-to content as a DLNA receiver from your PC. It currently does *NOT* browse
network for playback like the 360 does, i hope we see that functionality soon as the apps get improved.

Media Center

Xbox One will be supporting DLNA on it's media player app with the upcoming October dashboard update, so this should be possible without problems.

It's already possible to stream media towards the One with the windows media player, but with the next update the One will be able to browse for DLNA servers within the network it's connected to.
