    Xbox One - Many Issues1 (Frozen Apps, Blinking power light and Bluray/ DVD)


    After many happy years with my Xbox 360 it was time to upgrade. I prurchased a brand new Xbox One in Novemeber 2014 and have had nothing but issues. Here are a few that i have come across. If anyone has any answer it would be greatly appreciated. Also, why
    doesnt Microsoft provide a complaints email?!?!



    • Bluray/ DVD plater constantly has issues. A screen pops up stating that it is in use for only DVD and Bluray, i always have to eject then replace DVD and Bluray to make it work. Its rather annoying!
    • Blinking light power button - When i shut down my xbox i get the blinking light on the power button. I have to turn off at the wall.
    • A lot of apps just freeze (main offenders are Netflix and Amazon TV) i then have to hard shut down - this happens quite a lot.
    Any suggestions. Im very disapointed and now wish id bought a playstation!

    When the light is flashing it means your console is downloading an update. I wouldn't do anything when it is at the risk of corruption. If you want, you can turn off update while off in your settings. With the bluray player, I'd try uninstalling the app
    and redownloading it. And most of the time when my apps freeze it's because my connection is having issues, or I simply have too many apps open. When I'm done with an app, I've been closing it by highlighting it and pressing the menu button and choosing Exit.
    This has fixed many of the issues I was having that caused me to have to hard reset.

    While I don't know of a "complaints email," Microsoft do provide many ways to contact support, including here, chats with Official Support, as well as volunteer Ambassadors, and phone support. To begin, you can go here:
