Xbox One making strange high pitched noises

I have an Xbox One that is making strange high pitched (beeping sort of, sounds sort of like a malfunctioning fire alarm) noises during an update. I haven't updated nor used the console in a while... I have heard the "high pitched whirring" noises coming
from my Xbox but this sounds different. Is it just my Xbox updating or do I have an issue with it?

My sons Xbox one is recently making a high pitched squeal while turned on and playing. It happened again this morning while he was playing a digital copy of minecraft. While it was screaming/ making noises the game froze up also. I checked and the garanti
went out in March 2017. What do you guys think the problem is? Can i fix it locally where i live in Kalmar Sweden or do i need to send it away? Is it going to cost as much to fix it as a new Xbox one would cost?

My Xbox one started making a high pitched noise when streaming movies a while back. It was only doing it occasionally then. Now it has escalated into doing it anytime I play a game or watch movies. What can I do to fix this?

 

Hey CubicImp5416165! If the console is making a different noise that you don't believe it should be making your best bet is to get it repaired. You can start that process
