Xbox one making squeaking noise

Hello all,

I recently purchased an Xbox one for a decent price off of ebay which, i am still under the warranty for cause it was a week or 2 ago. Anyways

There has been no problem whatsoever with the console until recently when I turned my fan off in room cause I was hearing this weird squeaking sound and I wanted

to know where it was coming from and sure enough it was coming from the Xbox so I decided to turn the console and thought maybe it was overheating from being on

to long. But, the next day when I turned it on it was fine at first but after playing it for a little bit the squeaky starts off again it is not that loud so i believe that I can deal

with however it worries me very much. Any help on my current issue would be most abliged.

Xbox One Elite Console Noise

I just bought the Xbox One Elite console and I realized when it was on that it was making a squeaking noise.

The noise is not really loud but I can hear it when I get close to the console.

Is this normal for a Xbox One console to make noise? Could it just be the fan?

With squeaky noise it can be one of three things most likely: Internal Fan, Internal Hard Drive, or the Disc Drive (if it happens when using a disc. Possible but unlikely it can also be the internal system speaker.

You said you got it off Ebay which may indicate there was something wrong with it to begin with. I would advise contacting support and sending it in for repair. support.xbox.com/.../getting-your-product-serviced

As long as the Xbox was purchased via a retailer and was new and not used you should still be in warranty. The warranty only extends to the original purchaser:

support.xbox.com/.../console-kinect-warranty , if it was bought by someone and sold to you "second hand" you may have fees for repairs.

All in all I would have it sent in to be looked at. If you don't you chance it getting worse. Hope this helps!

Same... For me xbox one is not silent ... When the disc is in the drive the noise level is much more of ps4...,and the fan also make Little squeaking noise

I had an issue like this with my Xbox making high pitched "squeak squeak" noises, I did the advanced repair and was sent a new Xbox one and a prepaid shipping label to send my noisy one back, it cost about 15 dollars which is negligible compared to my peace
of mind and shiny new quiet Xbox one.

Is it like a squeaking noise from the fan area? My console makes it every so often and it can be quite loud. I've already had a replacement for the same reason but it still makes the noise.
