    xbox one making sound like it’s turning on, but won’t turn on


    My xbox one is making a sound like it’s coming on and there light comes on for a split second but it won’t turn on. i tried every solution such as unplugging it leaving it unplugged and holding the eject, synch and power buttons but nothing it working and apparently it’s impossible to chat with microsoft, i was wondering if any of you have any solutions

    Is it the original Xbox One with an external power supply? If so, do you have a friend or family member that has one? If you do, try their power supply with your console.

    It could also be a dead hard drive. If the hard drive has died, the console will turn on, but it's unable to boot up as no data can be read from the drive, so then it turns off immediately.

    I can't guarantee that it's either of those things, but they're the first things that spring to mind.

    If this does not resolve your issue, please try to change your HDMI cable and use a different one.

    You could also try to use a different TV if you have a different just to make sure that the issue is not with your TV.
