XBOX One Making Loud Hum/Buzz noise, no Display on TV

My XBOX One started making a loud humming or buzzing noise. It sounds almost like a noisy fan.

It made the noise when I hit the power button. Sometimes the noise stops when I power down and other times it doesn't stop until I unplug the power pack from the wall outlet.

The XBOX One home screen does not boot up on my TV. The TV just gives a message saying it cannot detect the device. It's connected with an HDMI cable.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to trouble shoot it or should I just send it in to XBOX Service for repairs?

Loud Noise while installing Games

I just bought mine last night and its doing the same thing. Loud buzzing or humming type noise only while installing a game. Not like a fan or something is hitting something. It's a consistant hum/buzz but it is quite loud

Oh yeah make sure to test out the disk drive before you buy it. Some of the launch xbox ones (including mines) had issue with the disc drive no reading and making a loud buzzing noise.

Is your Xbox in power saving mode or instant on?

Also does the console come on the screen at all or stay no signal?

 

I would try connecting the Xbox to another tv (if possible) first before doing anything rash. If it works but the fan is still loud you may have another problem on hand. If the noise is coming from the powersupply's fan, you can try blowing it out with
some keyboard duster, JUST MAKE SURE to UNPLUG the power from the wall AND console before doing this! My powersupply did the same thing but it quieted down after I blew the dust out. The same thing goes for
the console as well. Let me know if it helps or not.
