Xbox one making humming/grinding noise, will MS Store exchange?

I have a day one edition Xbox One, purchased from the MS store, with extended warranty. They told me any issues, they would exchange in store if I bought the extended warranty. My Xbox started making a loud pulsing noise. It's one long buzz followed by two
shorter buzzing sounds. Not sure if its grinding or a humming noise. Everything appears to working fine, but the noise is getting louder.

Anyone know what may be causing this, and can I just take it back to the MS store like they said, or do I need to send it out for repair? I don't want to be without my Xbox for a long period and hope they will keep their word and exchange, but I am worried
they just sold me the warranty to get a sale. I went online and it says eligible for repair and to print a shipping label, but Its the holiday season, so I don't want to ship out, and have it be gone for a month. MS store on phone just wants me to schedule
an appointment, but before I tear apart my home theater and drive 2 hours to the MS store I want to know if they can help me. Any Advice would be appreciated,.

Xbox 360 S power brick noise

Hey, i have had my 360 for about 6 months now and it started making a loud humming noise. (louder than my xbox ) so i said ok its probably dusty, i cleaned it with air and its still making the loud humming noise any suggestions ? By thw way my xbox works
fine and plays excellent havent had an issue.

It really depends on how long your extended warranty was for. All you can do is take it back and find out.

It definitely sounds like it is beginning to get some hardware issue.

Call the store you purchased it from and ask them if they will exchange it they should be able to tell you without you driving all the way. Good Luck.

It is a similar sound to that of the fans in a computer. Not a grinding noise at all, I would say its a mix of humming and buzzing, but more hum.

Took my faulty Sunset bundle to the MS store for an exchange. Luckily they had one left. The new one does not make the cricket noise anymore and is very quiet.

the noise comes from the fan. This is very large in the Xbox One.
Its size allows sufficient cooling at a comparatively slow speed. In practice this means that he is not actually audible - unless you place your head sideways on the console. But who already does that.
If it's just a low hum, it can not be that bad. However, if it is a grinding noise, I would swap the console. If the whirring really bothers you, I would contact the support of MS.
