    Xbox One making chirping sound


    It's rather recent, but my Xbox One makes a quiet but still noticeable chirping sound. I really hope that this is not a problem to where I'd have to return the console and get a new one.

    my Xbox one S is making a squeaky chirping sound and I just got it for Christmas. It’s the 30th. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Someone help please I can’t afford to send it back

    Yes mine is making a cricket chirping sound after being turned on for 20 minutes. The chirping sound comes on about every 30 seconds. I do not have a disc in the drive. I play everything from the hard drive. Definitely would love to know what it is...i
    will go insane listening to that sound much longer.

    Is it the disk spinning? Have you tried ejecting any disks in the console and seeing if the sound is still there?

    I have had the same problem and I have no disc inside. I have rebooted the console and it still makes the sound

    This is caused by the internal fan. Your Xbox One should be in warranty if you like to get it repaired. Here is the website www.myservice.xbox.com

    I'm having this same issue as well. It seems to be very common. I think MS should take this particular issue seriously and perhaps issue a recall as it's affecting a lot of people, some out of warranty now.

    I'm having this issue as well. It's very loud and it's like a grass hopper. It's much louder than the systems fan.

    I will speak to someone tomorrow about it. A refurbished console is out of the question. It's get a working new replacement or get a refund.

    You're so right McAngus. Everything I buy, I take very careful care of it and it is always immaculate. I should not have to settle for someone else's refurb within the first year all scratched and dinged up. Let me know how you do.
