    My mic volume is so low my friends can barely hear me. I have a turtle beach headset connected to a wired controller (both brand new). I can hear game sound fine as well as my friends mics but it seems I have to shout to be heard. Any suggestions?

    Does that turtle beach headset have a firmware setting for PC?

    If so have you updated it?

    With that said, in game chats you can always tell who's using a kinect for a mic. They usually sound like they're 20 ft from it. lol
    I've found the tip-off for people using the Kinect is hearing your own voice being repeated back to you.

    Exactly, like something that ventrilo/teamspeak have where you can manually increase volume per person. i had no issue's hearing people over my 360 headsets but now its terrible

    it still doesn't.. it controls it in steps. i dont want that i want a manual volume dial. its much easier to work with and i can balance it much better.

    I use the stereo headset. That does have volume control for game and chat.
