XBOX One lost connection constantly

I recently bought a XBOX ONE several days ago. When I was attempting to download GTA V from XBOX Marketplace, my modem reboots itself constantly. I have to pause the download and do the troubleshooting stuff. I did disconnect my router and modem and waited
for 2 minutes and I plugged the modem back on waited for a minute and then plugged the router and waited for a minute and then logged back onto Xbox Live and resume my download, and next 3 minutes, my modem was kicked offline. But the weird thing is, when
I loaded up Netflx and I watched 5 hours worth of episodes and my modem was never kicked offline.

Here are the specs:

ISP: Time Warner Cable

Modem: Motorola SBV5220

Router: Linksys E3000

I also added port numbers to the Linksys settings to forward the ports. Before I bought my Xbox One, my Xbox 360 have never caused any problems to kick the modem offline.

I decided to post a question on this forum before contacting Time Warner Cable. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Server connection lost! Why does this constantly happen?? Why doesn't Microsoft fix it?

 

Did you disable UPnP ? You can't have both ports forwarded and UPnP enabled. You might try it without the ports forwarded but UPnP enabled. Also set you XBOX One up with a static IP address.

 

I double checked to see if UPnP is disabled, and it is confirmed disabled. Ports have been set to the correct TCP and UDP modes and I have set the static IP address and I have a confirmed NAT Type: Open. When I resume downloading GTA 5 and to see if it fixed
the problem, 5 minutes later, my modem was kicked off line and rebooted itself.

 

I think I would try enabling UPnP and take off the port forwarding and try it again. Once that is done do a power cycle on all devices. Post back and let us know.

 

I did what you have said and tried again, I got the same results; my modem got kicked off line and rebooted while trying to download GTA5.

 

I have seen xbox go offline but you say your modem is getting disconnected ? That sounds like a different issue...

 

Yes my modem is getting disconnected and then reconnected while downloading GTA5. I guess this issue might be for Time Warner Cable to solve?

 

Do you own that modem or is it theirs ? If theirs , I would see if they will give you another one , if yours , I would get one somewhere you could return it if it dosent fix your problem... but I would call TWC and see if they can check out your signal...is
there a friend or family member close by where you could take your console and try on their network ?

 

The modem is theirs. I will call TWC to check this issue and if there's a problem with the modem, I will ask them to replace it with a new one. I have a brother that I can go to and check it out on their network.
