  2. Greeting users in pain. I got the same problem. Seems like after long stand by mode - I forgot to turn off my xbox one, and it was on for the whole night - the console HDMI TV port has lost the signal.

What worked for me is :

    - turn off xbox one

    - unplug all the cables from the console

    - turn off TV box

    - wait few minutes

    Here's the solution from Microsoft.

    Hope that helps.

  3. I've trouble shot everything people in this thread have said in order to get this feature to work... This combined with the lack of content in games these days are the reason nobody wants an Xbox One. Microsoft get off your butt and fix the things that aren't
working with your CURRENT product rather than focusing on the future. You want to win the console war? MAKE A CONSOLE THAT ACTUALLY DOES WHAT YOU SAY IT DOES! This is my 2nd xbox because my first had the HDMI Out port crap out. Thank you, looking forward to
being out a $500 product for a couple days.

me pay $500 to be a beta tester. I wouldn't complain if this was still the first few months, or even if this was the only problem! BUT ITS NOT it's one in a very long list of problems. I expect more out of you, I should have gotten a PS4

  5. Yeah...most of theses recommendations are not ideal. I absolutely want surround sound from tv. My cables are not cheap, they were 40 each. Cable box is 720 out ONLY. The frustrating thing is...it used to work flawlessly....on day 1!!! The updates have
caused it to lose connection in standby and force 480p on wake up. That is the only problem I'm having. Just go back to how it was on day one! Simple. ; )

Oddly enough, this was a huge, recurring problem for me throughout all of May, but the problem stopped about a week ago and has been fine ever since. Haven't lost the TV signal at all.

    Weird.

Reducing to 720p helped me since launch. I had an occasional 1-2 second video pause when I changed channels, but not often enough that it really interfered.

Now with the latest update, I have to unplug/replug to get it to recognize the tv signal.

  11. So for those of you who are having the same problem I was having, I feel stupid for it taking me so long to think this through but I hope you all will benefit from my logic. I am in San Diego California and have Cox as my cable provider. The box that my
cable goes through is Scientific Atlanta model Explorer 8240HDC. I have an Onkyo HT-R580 receiver that my PS4 and Xbox1 both go through. The Signal flow for cable goes Cable box, HDMI, Xbox1, HDMI, Receiver, HDMI, TV. My Xbox1 played fine, but when I switched
to TV it would play for a few seconds, freeze, play for a few seconds, then notify me that it lost signal. Clearly to me now, the signal from the Xbox1 through to the TV was good, but the signal loss was between the cable box and the Xbox1. I used the HDMI
cable that came with the Xbox1 to go from the Xbox1 to the receiver, and the one that came with the cable box to go to the xbox1. I replaced that cable with a 18Gbps Monster cable from Fry's to see if that would fix the problem, and it has completely. Apparently
the free HDMI cable that came with my cable box was not very good (Go Figure). I still wish Xbox would realize that gamers tend to like nice tech and would enjoy TV in 1080i and not 720p, but at least the TV isn't glitching anymore. Hope this helps.

Ever since the July preview release came out a week or two ago, I have a lot less problems. I've even put my cable cable box back up to 1080i. I don't have any more of those annoying few second freeze delays when I change channels. In the preview up date
that came out today they mention in the notes improve HDMI inputs.. so far so good!

    XBOX ONE LOSING TV SIGNAL

No, but a lot of people have theories and apparently Microsoft is aware and looking into it, but don't expect an immediate patch. There are a few other posts in this forum with lots of responses about people with similar issues. You're not alone.

Same boat as others. Worked most of the time prior to May update. Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300 to Xbox one to tv. Straight forward. Cable box set to 720p only and 4:3 ratio. Like recent guy, mine will connect fine with tv app IF I leave my cable box
on ALL the time. If I let Xbox control cable box on and off it almost always resets box to 480p after initial lost signal screen. Come on guys...you are going backwards!!! It was bad enough that Xbox couldn't handle my leaving cable box on 1080I but now 720p
doesn't even stay connected. Something needs to be done to boost signal from cable while using instant on mode. Anyone find a solution.....Please share.

    Xbox One losing TV signal

Think my prob is the worst, TV was working fine untill the update, tryed tuning in my virgin media box since then the TV dosent work, when you try to set up TV it says my brand isent found (toshiba) which is clearly listed, same when I try to set up the
digi box (Virgin media) and can't even get into the display settings just got kicked out, something seriously wrong, mys been like this over a week now.

    Xbox One losing TV signal

So my Motorola VIP 2250 replacement from AT&T started this problem. I "think" there was a release this weekend or week, to help fix this but I am not 100% sure, I did notice there is an option now for the TV and One Guide to no longer turn off the DVR when
you turn off the Xbox. I think that was one part of my solution, disabling that power off feature.

The second is I upgraded the standard HDMI cable it comes with and what I had going to my TV with these from monoprice:

    www.monoprice.com/Product

I noticed now I do not even get a delay and do not have to do the "power save mode" where it reboots. I can put it into sleep and as soon as it wakes up, the TV is already going in the menu. This is even after having it sleep all night last night.

I hope this helps, but it help confirms a suspicion I had where the signal gets to low when the DVR goes into power save mode and not enough data is being received by the Xboxone. The new cables ensure the data is completely transferred now matter how little,
and has the bandwidth to send the cable commands through HDMI to the PVR
