Another update and no notes saying they have fixed this issue. This is just crazy been having this problem since day one. I'm glad one of the biggest features of the system is not important enough to fix.

The HDCP issue is being worked on, though as I have been on the forums I have noticed a ton of resolvable issues. It is easier to point another direction, and I believe some folks may be mislead into thinking they have an issue that is waiting for an update.
What have you tried thus far?

I am seeing the same issue on my console for the last two weeks, I had to unplug n re plug the hdmi to get back the connection..off late even that's not working anymore, this is frustrating. Not sure if the ports are touchy or a patch issue, it was definitely
working smooth for the first three months.. I better by pass the Xbox console for a good TV viewing experience,, I will miss my often n easiest voice command used though - "Xbox watch Tv" ...I use a xfinity by the way..

  5. Seriously. WHEN is Microsoft going to fix this? It's getting worse with each update. I now have to unplug my X1 at least one to two times per day just to get the TV to work. MaverickMash is exactly right that this WAS working. Microsoft BROKE it. And has
yet to fix it months later with several updates already released. My family already has to put up with "Xbox on. Xbox on. XBOX on. XBOX ON!" just to get the freaking thing to turn on. Now I have to ask them to unplug it, wait, plug it in, turn on the X1, wait
for all the normal reboot stuff and then pray that the TV works this time. If this problem occurred with the Comcast set top box, there would be riots. Or, actually, we'd already have gone to the store and gotten a new device and the issue would be resolved.
Ironically, the thing that works every single time - without repetition or fail - is "Xbox turn off". Are they trying to tell us something????

  6. I too experience this issue. TV works for a second, then cuts to lost TV signal, however the TV audio continues functioning throughout. My TV picture recovers when turning off Xbox One and turning back on. Unfortunate glitch. Posting issue to raise awareness
for MS to implement corrective action.

Since last update my TV app does not function correctly. New hdmi cables. Video from the One works great for everything else, just get messages that the TV signal has been lost. I used to just kill the TV app and restart, then it got to the point I had to
do reboots. Problem so bad now I'm not even bothering with TV through the One as now it won't work at all.

    Using ATT Uverse.

Same issue. Works fine all day, but I shut the system off overnight. Upon boot, signal is there for a brief moment, then lost. Unplugging and re-seating the HDMI cable works just fine, but the wife won't put up with it much longer.

  9. Has anyone seen an official response to this issue from MS? I've spoken with their customer support and while the gentleman was very nice and I believe genuinely wanted to help, his suggestion (removing profile, full power cycling, resetting the cable STB,
firing everything back up) only worked for a few days but the problem has returned.

For me, because the issue is paired with extended periods of inactivity (overnight, if the family and I are out for the entire day) it's very tricky to troubleshoot. Everything I try to resolve the issue needs a full day/night before I can know if it's
    helped.

Is there anything we can do to escalate this?

  10. Another thing - a lot of suggestions I've seen have included reducing the output of the user's STB to 720p. Does this mean that the pass-thru of TV can only be at this resolution by design? Please tell me no because that would be, frankly in 2014, crap.
Any good TV (mine's already like 3 years old) has 1080p resolution. To make a "next-gen" console that is supposed to be in service for ~10 years that can't handle 1080p would be insane.

  11. Mine just started doing this 2 weeks ago when i use "Xbox on" command. Sometimes i can even hear the audio under the "Xbox has lost video" or whatever the graphics say. Only way to fix it is to reboot the Xbox by holding the power button for 8 sec.

Just FYI the HDMI feeding the Xbox is a Dish Hopper.

  12. Are we sure this is an xbox issue? Xfinity told me they have been making updates all along. In fact, on or about March 25, they were putting out an update to put dvr'd stuff on the cloud rather than the hard drive. I now need to cycle through the x1 box
EVERYTIME i try to watch TV. typically, it takes 6-7 minutes.

No its a xbox issue whatever they changed in the last update really messed with any dvr that has a screen saver/no true turn off function.

  15. Hey guys, I think I may have solved the problem if you have the Motorola DCH3416. What I did was go to the extra settings and changed it to DVI. You can leave it on 1080p. As soon as I changed it my cable came right on and no problems from then. Let me know
if this works. Also Xbox One has DVI.
