  1. XBOX ONE LOSING TV / CABLE SIGNAL

It seems like ever since the latest XBOX ONE update, my XBOX ONE has trouble staying in contact with my cable box. In the past day or two, I've had to perform a complete shut down of the Xbox (hold power button down for 6-8) and check all my HDMI wires.
Whenever I do this, everything works fine. However, the very next time I turn everything off and then back on, the XBOX loses signal to the Cable box. It's almost like the XBOX ONE is now having issues maintaining an HDMI signal while in standby mode.

Everything worked just fine before this recent update.

Is anyone else out there experiencing the same issue?

    :)

  2. problem streaming cable TV through xbox one

I had no issues with streaming cable TV through my new xbox one (HDMI cable from cable box into xbox one), then suddenly it no longer picked up the cable TV signal. I know the cable TV signal is fine since I can re-route the HDMI through my receiver and
pick up the TV signal fine. Is it possible that the xbox HDMI jack has failed? Or some other reason that it would suddenly stop picking up the cable TV signal?

    Issue with one TV HDMI.

I am using the HDMI on the newer slim xbox model, and my old tv the signal flickers in and out, its not the cable or the tv cause it works fine with my computer without losing the signal at all.

Is there some kind of setting on the xbox my tv may need to be on, I've tried the xbox on other tvs with the same cable and it works fine.

  5. Ok. Have given up on this. Even went as far as buying high quality HDMI cables and still nothing. At this point, the XBOX ONE has become a standard gaming console and that's it. Considering letting the thing go actually as I'm simply not getting what I paid
    for. Unfortunate.

  6. I'm having a similar issues. Are you part of the preview beta for xbox one? Ever since accepting the new update which is update 1406 I have been unable to watch TV or access the setting related to the TV and One Guide.

Here's what happens when I try to watch TV:

First off the TV box on the xbox home page only shows the black box with the white TV outline in it, whatever TV channel I am watching never shows up. Then when you go to full screen with the TV it takes a long time for the picture to show up of the channel
I am watching, about 15 to 20 seconds or sometimes in never shows up and it reverts back to xbox home page. When it does finally show up the channel plays normally for about 3 to 5 seconds and then freezes, then it will start playing again but again for only
about 3 to 5 seconds and then freezes again. The way it acts reminds me of trying to stream a video from the Internet on a really slow Internet connection, video start and then stops and begins to buffer and then starts again. I've tried a hard reset multiple
times, even unplugging after shut down on a few of them. I've tried different HDMI cables and check with my cable service provider and they report no issues. I also contacted xbox support last night via chat and they can't figure out what's going on. They
sent it to there next level of support and gave me a issue ticket number. Hope this gets resolved soon would love to be able to watch TV again.

I think this issue is happening on the newest June update preview beta. If you are a part of that preview, I'd suggest throwing this post over on that forum so the right people see it.

+1 i am seeing the same issue with the general release. It appears it wasn't addressed prior to the update. It appears the X1 is not addressing the HDCP handshake.

Here are a few things i have tried to narrow down the X1 as the cause.

    1.) Standby Cycle the X1

    2.) Standby Cycle the STB

    3.) Hard power Cycle STB

4.) Disconnect HDMI from X1 and reconnect,

5.) Connect Xbox 360 in place of STB.

6.) i have also replaced HDMI cables and checked the STB without the X1 in the middle.

    Resoultion: Hard Cycle the X1

My unit also began having this bug with recent updates. I had it with the Titanfall update and that was corrected. Now this. In my case the bug tends to appear only after the unit has been in operation for several hours. It does, however, happen regardless
of whether I'm watching TV, a disc or streaming Netflix. It has not happened during a game yet but feels as if it is only a matter of time. Full boot only stops it for a brief period. Because it seems to be happening more frequently after lengthy operation
I've been tempted to investigate it as a cooling related issue. Still...feels like a bug. I don't have a solution for anyone. I've changed and tweaked every setting imaginable. Just sharing the pain for the boys in Redmond. I'm a day one purchaser...huge XB1
supporter...this isn't making me love my console.
