Xbox one Losing signal to cable box *FIXED*

So for the longest I along with a lot of other people have been having this issue with their Xbox 1 losing signal to their cable box after rebooting or putting Xbox 1 to sleep. Well after hours of testing I have finally figured it out. It seems that the
xbox one has an issue re-establishing the signal to your cablebox once you have turned your cablebox off. So if you leave ur cablebox on problem solved. Now this isn't a practical fix and hopefully with this information xbox can create a patch to resolve this
but i for one much rather leave my cablebox on than having to deal with this feature not working or barely working.

Now if your in a state where this feature is already not working here is what I found to fix the problem and get it working.

1) power down Xbox one fully (hold power button until Xbox one turns off)

2) turn of cablebox and tv

3) remove power chord from back of Xbox one

4) wait 5mins

5) plug back in power chord and turn everything back on

6) attempt to watch tv. fyi it has never worked for me at this point, i always had to continue onto next steps to get it to work so if it works at this point for you your very lucky.

7) remove hdmi cable coming from your cablebox from back of Xbox one and plug into TV fyi at this step it is ok to leave Xbox 1 still trying to find signal for cable aka keep the watch tv app running

8) switch inputs on TV to port you plug cable into and let ur cable play on the tv for 2mins

9) reconnect hdmi cable to back of Xbox 1 and switch input on tv back and literally after a few seconds it should start working. It did for me every time.

Side note as long as you don't turn off cable box or ne other device your cablebox signal goes trough before reaching Xbox one, like an hdmi selector, then doing steps 7-9 will be enough to re-establish the signal, but since I have no longer been turning
off my cable box I have never had to do any of these steps again it just works as it should every time.

Losing TV/cable signal need help

MY XBOX IS LOSING SIGNAL AND I DONT EVEN HAVE IT CONNECTED TO A CABLE BOX......... LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO SET UP MY XBOX WHEN I CANT SEE THE SCREEN.

 

July update completely broke quality of live tv experience

I'm having the same problem with Xbox One currently. My Verizon cable box constantly is losing signal on the console. Very frustrating. Unplugged everything, plugged it back in, turned off turned on no change.

 

Also I dunno how much of a difference this makes but I have a samsung SMT-C5320 cablebox with CableVision/optimum
