    Xbox One losing internet connection + controller losing connection


    Hi all,

    Since the update from 8-6-2015 I have been encountering a couple a problems.

    Whenever I play a game, online or offline, my controller loses connection to the Xbox and the button starts flashing. After a few seconds it turns back on, but in the meantime, my Xbox Live gets disconnected. This happens regularly and for me it is impossible
    to play a game online.

    I have talked to customer support, but they couldn't help me other than the tips suggested to hard reboot or all those other possible solutions. Now they suggest I send it back for repairs, yet I find it strange that all this happened after the latest update,
    as I never had this problem before. My Xbox One is just three months old.

    I have tried both wired and wireless connection, same goes for my controllers, tried wired and wireless but it still happens.

    I checked my latency, which is extremely high for what I am used to, over 160ms.

    Would it help if I restore the system to default?

    Anyone?

    I have a big problem with my xbox one. Everything was okay during first month but I have a problem with losing wifi and controller connection. Problem is randomly. Console just firstly lose connection with controller and after a few seconds internet loses
    connection too. I did factory reset. What can I do?

    If the controller is having an issue staying synced, it could be the controller itself. The Kinect's IR is also able to sync the controller and if it is covered this may prevent the controller from re-syncing itself through the Kinect. If it happens when
    the Kinect is covered I would make sure to leave it uncovered and see if that helps. My other suggestion would be to see if it does it with another working controller or not as well.

    Mine did the same thing when I first got it. It remedied itself for me, because it hasn't done it for awhile now. I'm not sure if it was an update or what it was. Maybe try Uninstalling the updates, and try re-downloading everything and see if that helps?
    I recall doing a system reset, so maybe it was that. It's been months tho, so I can't remember off the top of my head.

    I know why my internet keeps disconnecting. What im saying is my controller disconnects when i lose connection. It will reconnect but on rare occasions it will not turn back on. Dont worry about the wifi part. All I need to know is if the controllers are
    supposed to drop conneection and then reconnect when the xbox all of a sudden loses internet connection. I dont lose control of the wifi.

    Thats the weird part, the signal from wi-fi and connection to the router keeps the same, it justs lose the connection to the internet.

    In AUTO mode it loses the IP address and DHCP error appears and in static mode it just loses the internet connection. But the connection to the router, the Wireless keeps the same.

    i will test it on my brother in law's xbox one to see if it happens as on my one.

    the fact is xbox has this bug lately with kicking people off the internet. The problem is that they are doing their best to fix the accounts that need to be banned. So when they do that they reboot the server globally so everytime they update their server the connection gets lost. Just go with the flow for now until they are satisfied with the banned accounts.
