Xbox one losing connection to headset randomly

Hello,

I have been having a lot issues with Xbox One lately with its connection to my headset, and occasionally my controller. What will happen is the audio gets really choppy every once in a while (every few minutes nowadays), and sometimes it will lose connection altogether. It is a 50/50 chance of it reconnecting to my Xbox after this happens. I originally thought it was my old headset that was the problem, so I went and bought a new one. However, the problem persisted and has been getting progressively worse. I can connect my phone to this headset and it does not have this issue. My Xbox is roughly 5 years old, so is it possible that the wireless transmitter part in it is going bad? I have tried just about everything that I have found online to fix the issue: hard restart, re-pairing the two, factory resetting my Xbox. None of these have proved to reduce the connectivity issue, and the reset seems to have made it worse. Is this an issue that occurs with older Xbox's? Is there anything else to try or do I have to send it in for repairs/buy a new console?

I had a problem just like yours with a used Xbox One Original I bought. It's very simple to repair and I don't think it's necessary to buy a new console. I recommend taking it to a store that repairs electronics in your city, they should change the wireless card and you should be fine.

I have a western digital 1TB hard drive and I connected it to my Xbox one to play the movies that o had on it. Unfortunately,it randomly loses its connection to the Xbox one after random time intervals. I thought that this had to deal with the drove going
to sleep. Because initially it would lose connection after 30 minutes, which was the time that the sleep timer is set to by default. I went into the settings of the wd software that came with the drive and set the timer to never and saved the changes. This
worked for a short while, but now it randomly loses its connection right in the middle of a movie which is by far the most irritating thing. I assume it has to deal with the Xbox one OS because when I stream it from my surface with the hard drive it does not
lose connection.

Im having a similar issue. When using a headset with the xbox one stereo headset adapter, randomly i'll lose the functions on the headset adapter. Mute, volume, etc. Soo i figured it was just bad. I bought a Polk audio striker. They use their own stereo
headset adapter. Guess what.... Same thing. Randomly the functions of power, mute, volume, etc. will all randomly stop working... Soo i went and bought a 500X. Great sounding headset btw. But guess what? Same thing. I cant get it to work. No function
control. Note, the headsets work, but i have no control over them. I've tried powering the console down, unplugging it, re-assigning the headset... No luck. Please help.

Are you losing connection randomly? When you lose connection if you set your Xbox to offline mode you should be able to play most of your games.

This also happens with the BT home hub sometimes, the xbox randomly loses its IP address or connection
