    Xbox One loses HDMI connection


    I have had this same setup for three years with no issues until my Xbox One upgraded to the new XBOE. After the upgrade when you turn on the Xbox the TV shows an Xbox image and states the Xbox has lost the TV connection. You can browse thru the settings
    to the Video settings and it actually states the HDMI cable is disconnected which of course it is not. Xbox is set to "Instant On" mode. My setup is below:

    1. Xfinity X1 set-top box HDMI output to the Xbox One HDMI input.
    2. Xbox One HDMI output to your A/V receiver HDMI input.
    3. A/V receiver HDMI output to the HDMI input on your television.
    As far as I can tell there is nothing I can do to get the TV to display but one thing. Browse to the main menu on the left, then browse to settings and on the settings menu select the "Restart Xbox Console". When the Xbox restarts, select the One Guide
    on main screen and then Xbox starts displaying signal to TV then all is working perfectly fine again. Please keep in mind you do not need to make any changes, no unplugging/replugging of any component. Just a pure restart of the Xbox system.

    So what has changed that needs to be changed back or what is different about the new XBOE?

    Xbox 360 Slim - HDMI video & Component video.. can it work?

    Hi there,

    Currently have a 24" monitor (Asus K242HL) and my xbox 360 slim.

    The monitor does not have any sound output, so the typical hdmi connection to my xbox only provides clear video...

    After searching it up and finding numerous threats about connecting both a hdmi and component cable, i went along with it..

    Scenario:

    When the hdmi is connected as normal, video works. As soon as i plug the component cable in also, to output sound onto my speaker, the monitor loses signal and the xbox just starts an iterative loop of restarting.

    So im unable to achieve sound & have video .. with the component cable connected to the xbox and no hdmi, the sound output does infact work on my speaker.

    How am i able to have the two cables function side by side, are there any settings i have to tweak within the xbox 360 to get this to function?

    I have a xbox one x connected to my lg b7 oled tv via hdmi and every now and again the xbox seems to lose connection to my tv. HELP.

    HDMI cables

    the Xbox has a lose hdmi port that's why it's losing signal & not showing any hdmi lead connect but the standard issue cable is slightly bigger than the 2.0 cable I'm using which is pushing the connection back together. for anyone that does have a 4k TV
    they will notice a huge difference in swapping the cable for one that has a faster speed & also a much better build quality.

    No Audio with Netflix

    Amazingly and unintuitively this has to do with the HDMI connection on the Xbox. Try this: Play a video on Netflix and while it is playing unplug and then plug in the HDMI chord on the back of the Xbox. By all means this should not only affect one program,
    but for whatever reason a weak connection in the back of the Xbox causes Netflix to lose audio without impacting the rest of the system.

    Hi, on the Xbox One X as with all of the Xbox One range, there are two HDMI connections. One is an HDMI-Out and one is an HDMI-In. You will see next the HDMI connector a label describing what HDMI it is. You connect the included 4K HDMI cable to the HDMI-Out
    to display the console on your TV. The HDMI-In is optional. It can be used to connect a Cable or Satellite receiver to your console.

    This guide will help you further.

    losing signal on xbox when connected with hdmi

    An obvious question but have you tried a different HDMI cable? If so I would maybe try a different type of connection (component, rca) to see if you have the same issue. Could possible be a bad HDMI port on xbox or on TV. I work technical support for
    a telecommunications company and i frequently see this sort of an issue when an hdmi cable goes bad or a port on the tv/equipment go out. Good Luck!!

    If using optical audio for sound, connect the toslink from the Xbox One to the HT.
