Xbox one looses power after shutting off

    Xbox one looses power after shutting off


    Each time I turn the xbox on it takes me doing a reset with the power. It works fine while im playing but right after it looses power. Its not always that big of a problem but now it needs an update and each time I try it finishes the update but during
    its reset it looses power and it doesnt finish. So basically it doesnt seem able to update and im not seeing this specific issue anywhere. Also the power brick is orange light when its been reset.

    Generally this only happens when the console looses net connectivity while powered off... if it looses network connection--even for a second--it get kicked off LIVE and then shut down.

    I spoke too soon. When I hold the power button down to shut off the xbox, the next time it's turned on, it turns on the TV. Then the next time after that I turn on the Xbox, it doesn't turn on the TV. It seems the only time after the Spring 2017 update
    the Xbox turns on a TV is after it's shut off holding the power button.

    Looks like I'm not the only one after looking at the message boards :/

    Is your console in instant on or power saver mode. Switch it to the one it's not set to and hold the power button on the front of the console until it shuts off. After it shuts off unplug the power brick from the console and the outlet for a minute press
    the power button the console 3 times after a minute plug everything back in and power back on and see if the issue is resolved.

    To start out, please power cycle your Xbox One by holding down the power button for 8-10 seconds until your Xbox One powers off. If you're still having troubles after your Xbox One shuts off, please uninstall one of the games and reinstall to see if that helps.

    If you're still having trouble with this please try a quick power cycle on your Xbox One by holding down the power button for 10 seconds (or until the Xbox One powers off all the way). After the console shuts off power it back on and give the OneGuide setup
    a try again to see if that helps :)
