Xbox One looks like crap on 1360x768 TV, need to change something

Hi, my title says it all. It appears my xbox is trying to run at a higher resolution than it should be. I can't figure out if it is a setting I should change on my TV or xbox. I tried changing it to 720p in xbox settings and that made everything worse.

    :)

  2. Will xbox one support 1360x768?

Will xbox one ever support 1360x768? cause my tv is 1360x768, and i tested, 720p and 1080p looks really bad on my 360, but as soon as i change it to 1360x768, it looked so much different, and better, just wondering if 1360x768 will come to xbox one
    or not.

Xbox One looks like crap on 1360x768 TV, need to change something

To change the resolution follow these steps:

1.Press the Xbox button to return to the dashboard.

2.Press the Menu button and select Settings.

3.Select Display & sound in the Console column.

4.Select TV resolution, and then select 720p or 1080p, whichever is best for your TV.

Note If you don’t see the resolution for your TV, verify that the option to only show the current resolution for your TV is not checked.

However, it sounds like that is only half your problem. It sounds like you need to make some TV adjustments as well. Here is a link to the step by step process in which you can optimize your TV for your xbox:

Setting your Xbox to 1080p will reduce the number of times the image is scaled, so this is probably the best setup for that kind of TV if it will accept the 1080p input.

1360x768 is 720p, you're upscaling it to 1080p on a 720p output TV, that's why it's looking horrible. In order to get a 1080p resolution looking good, you need a TV that has a native resolution of 1080p.
