Xbox One Lock

    Is it possible to lock my xbox one with a password?

    I don't want my roommates to be playing any games with it while I'm at school or anything.

    XBOX ONE Region Lock

    Its there so you cant buy games from another country. You can still play online with people all over the world.

    The ps3 online does seem to be region locked though. On that I want to be playing against americans and british and australians but instead they have me playing against non english speaking europeans

    Hi Cruz! I'm sorry to say there isn't a way to password protect the entire xbox, it will automaticall go to the dashboard at startup, allowing users to attach their own profiles or play offline as a guest. You CAN set a passkey to prevent your own account
    from being signed in and used, and I'll provide those links for you, but I don't suspect that's exactly what you want. Sorry about that!

    Create a passkey:
    support.xbox.com/.../create-xbox-one-passkey

    Require a passkey for purchases:
    support.xbox.com/.../passkey-purchases     (This is the same location where you can set your sign-in preferences to require the passkey.)

    Kensington Security Lock

    Yeah but the point is, the type of Kensington lock makes no difference to the Xbox One. The Xbox One can use a Kensington lock, but you need to have one to begin with. Doesn't matter if it's a key or a combination

    It is ! Xbox one devices are not region locked, only digital products and keys are sometimes region locked.

    The region locks technically aren't even NTSC/PAL locks because such a differential does not exist within the console. The games are just coded with a region lock. When a region locked game is loaded on a console from another region, it will display an
    error message. If a game is region free, it does not look for what region the console comes from and continues to run. The region lock outs for Xbox 360 games these days are down to the publishers, nothing more.

    Xbox One on the other hand has no regional lock outs at all for disc games. You can play any Xbox One game on any Xbox One console. There are certain region locks for downloads, but that has nothing to do with NTSC and PAL.
