    Microsoft,

I'm a comcast customer with a Motorola DCH3416 DVR, and I'm having the same freezing and disconnected issues with Live TV on my Xbox One as so many others. I have tried new HDMI cables and recycling the DVR and xbox repeatedly. Note that these issues do
not occur at all when i connect directly from my cable box (DVR) to the TV. I am a lifelong sony and playstation customer who was lured into your product by the promises of a full multimedia product. These promises, which you (Microsoft) made, now seem to
be false. I am kicking myself for going with your product instead of the Sony PS4 but I am now asking you to help me fix these issues so i can try to begin feeling like I wasn't ripped off. Some people may be very patient with you but i am not, at all,
nor should I be since you took my money (not just part of it with a promise to pay the rest later).

    Thanks.

    :)

    Like everyone else, issues.

I don't have access to the router. It's campus wifi, only god know's where it's at. I'm not even talking about wifi, I'm talking about hardwiring my xbox into the internet via ethernet cable. There is no reason why I shouldn't be pulling internet with my
    ethernet cable.

I can assure you, time and time again, that I've tested, retested, used, and reused this exact same ethernet cable. There is nothing wrong with the cable itself.

I've tried setting up my own router, but the pc I built conveniently didn't come with a wifi adaptor, so there's no way I can access my router through my pc, even when it's wired in. The router just won't appear.

Guys. I just want my ethernet port to work.

no patience will likely lead you no where as we don't have answers at this time to every issue and set up.

Worst case until a patch is released, you can always unhook the xbox from the TV just like the PS4 you didn't get would have been set up

I can tell you my live tv works great- I know that's not much consolation, but maybe it will at least shed some light on the success of the X1 for the majority of the people.

Your explanation of freezing/ loss of connection is a known issue that according to threads is being looked at by support.

A quick google also shows an update is coming in a few weeks. I am hoping it resolves your problem Xbox One Live TV Issues - Like Everyone Else :D

BusGod, you are having no TV issues when the Xbox goes into standby, or have you turned that feature off?

    Hi Sum,

I am not having any issue coming up from standby mode, to be honest I am not having any issues at all with Live TV. I have Directtv and am using the Genie Receiver. My console is set to instant on so I can use voice to turn it on. The only time I ever
get "We have lost your video signal" for the Live TV is if the Genie has been on for ore than 4 hours, it turns itself off due to inactivity. Powering the genie back up with its controller brings me right back. cant say that is a MS issue though, rather
    a built in Genie setting.

Mine is Genie> X1> Yamaha V573 AVR> Samsung 7100 LED TV. all through HDMI.

Setting up the TV setting was done using the automatic mode for identifying the ir controls. It works great for me. I wish it did for everyone!

I have the exact same set up as you do Busgod, mine only works for a couple days when using stand by mode. I VERY seriously doubt you are still having no issues. Unless your X1 is running different software than us....

The one common factor I have seen over and over again, is older versions of HDMI cables passed as "new". I know this answer is not one that you want to hear Sum1 Awesome, but use the HDMI cable that came with the Xbox One (between the Xbox One and the Cable/Sat
box). Use an HDMI 2.0 cable from the Xbox One and TV. I have seen this work more times than I would care to admit. Give it a test and post the results.

Hello. I'm an Xbox One owner (UK) and am having problems with 'The One' seeming to lose connection to my Virgin Tivo box every couple of days. It doesn't happen when I'm actually watching live tv but when the xbox has been powered down to standby via voice
command ("Xbox turn off") and then powered back up in the same manner ("Xbox on"). The Tivo set-top box is powered to standby via its remote but when I power it back up I sometimes have just a black screen when the xbox is on and working?? This has lead to
countless 'Reset TV settings' in the xbox settings.

I'm not experiencing any problems with the picture freezing or anything but my question is, does your advice that's posted above only relate to picture freezing or does it help with the problem I'm encountering as well?

    All help/guidance appreciated.

    Cheers

We are aware of the 50Hz issue in the UK. We have not officially released in that market yet. We hope to soon. Thank you for your interest in LiveTV.

    Hello,

Im from Brazil and Im having this same very issue.

Everytime I want to watch Tv, I need to turn the Xbox One off, unplug the power cable, plug it back in and then turn the Xbox One back on.

Reseting the Tv settings does not work here.

But since Tv isnt working with the US customers, I wonder when its gonna be 100% here in my country. Im doomed.

  12. Not to down-play it, but do keep in mind that this forum is a sub-set of a sub-set of users, and is not really a good reflection of the actual function. There is an HDCP handshake issue between the Xbox and a few cable/sat boxes which is being worked on
(a large majority of these issues are really resolved using HDMI 2.0 cable... really). Of course, ideally everything would work with everything, forever. People would like you to believe they lost a limb because of the issue but, that is just intended to state
how they feel, and not really what it is. People being people, and there is nothing wrong with that. To be honest, I really don't mind. I want to help everyone. I truly want everyone to enjoy every aspect of the console as much as I do.

    -

The take away here: If it works 1st time out, intended function. Spend a little money on something that will serve you for 5-7 years (2.0 HDMI cable >$30). If that fails, post, call, forums, w/e you like. Just expect to provide a little necessary info, to
know what we are working on. I hope this helps Hafziin.

    -Cheers

Xbox One Live TV Issues - Like Everyone Else

It is a known issue with the current software and I don't believe anyone that says they don't have any issues. I'm actually a long time XBOX user and defended the XBOX One from many people when the initial announcement pissed people off. I use several Microsoft
services including XBOX Music which I love when we throw parties. The software on the One has been very disappointing, especially the issues with the TV. I have several issues with the TV feature just being completely black and even after resetting, yes both
holding down on the power button and even unplugging, it still doesn't work and the only solution is to go to troubleshoot and setup TV again. Going to certain parts of the menu seem to take a lot of time to load up. One example of this is when playing a game
on live and all I want to do is pull up someone I'm playing with so I can avoid or block them. I've contemplated going back to the 360 because the One definitely feels like it's in beta at this time. I'd switch to the PS4 but I've already paid for 2 years
of live and 2 years of XBOX music, but if Microsoft doesn't get their act together, I have a feeling I won't be the only one making the switch.

Well I can tell you without a doubt I have NO issues with Live TV- None- it works. I didn't say I don't have issues with the OS behaving strangely in other applications. I simply do I hard boot once per week and keeps everything in check.
