Xbox One Live Message for Repairs?

After a recent update this week I received this message from "Xbox Live" "We're sorry, but you'll need to send this Xbox in for repair. There's a hardware problem that prevents it from taking updates, which you'll need to play newer games. Check your
email for instructions or go to myservice.xbox.com to register a device."

Is this an actual problem? Or is this some sort of hack/sham? Also, I bought my Xbox at a military exchange overseas... Any idea how to handle this? Is shipping APO to the states and receiving APO a bad idea? Will I be reimbursed for the amount of
time I've lost dealing with something thats their fault?

Any info is appreciated, Thank you.

Look in your Xbox Live messages on your Xbox One people!!!

Still havent received the Gears codes for 1/2/3

They message you the codes through xbox live.

Please check here under your account but normally you will be asked to setup an exchange in the Xbox system.

Hey there, dOME! This message is targeting users whose consoles were identified as having disc drive issues. Some users haven't noticed this due to having only downloaded games and not using the disc drive. You can see if your console has been affected by
checking your
system's current OS. After the "xb_rel_", you should see 1411 if you are on the current OS. If your console is on 1408, then we highly suggest sending in your console to ensure there is no interruption to full functionality.

If you are on the most current OS, then there is no need to worry. You should be able to play without any issues.

To set up a repair, if needed, please
contact us via phone or chat support. You can also use our
Online Service Center to set it up by yourself.

Thank you for the update, . Kindly repair the app by following the steps below:

Settings > Apps & Features > Apps > Search for "Xbox" > Advanced Options > Repair > Restart your PC.

I've tried both the "Repair" and "Reset" options but unfortunately, it still shows the "We can't sign you into Xbox Live" message when I try to start a game.

Hi, I'm sure there are places that may fix your Xbox cheaply money wise but may cost you more in the long run when the Xbox is suspended from Xbox Live for system tampering. However there is only one place that repairs the Xbox officially and that is the
Xbox service centre.
