    A trial doesn't count as Gold Membership. You get access to some Gold features is all.

    status alert up exactly what am getting no wonder my account went from gold to silver.and i could get online so there's me spamming the payment button on my card but it wouldnt work :/

    now we know why

    Yup...... floating in the same boat down the same creek.... Have Gold but not recognized... should be fixed in a couple hours.... or so I was told by support......

    This issue seems to have been sorted. I also had the same problem but it is all back to normal for me xbox one live membership :)

    sharing Xbox live gold membership only works on the Xbox One. unfortunately on Xbox Live, everyone will need a gold membership to be able to talk to each other and play games together.

    That is not entirely true. Multiple accounts cannot share one Xbox Live membership. For each account to have it's own friends list and whatnot, they must each have their own Xbox Live membership.
