Xbox One Live issues (WiFi)

I recently turned my Xbox One on for the first time in a few months. When i first turned it on i got notified of an update which i install but it failed numerous times. Finally it went through. Ever since then when i try to sign into Xbox Live it works on
the first try only a handful of times. After multiple attempts i get connected. After i am connected i can't access much of anything. Friends list only loads about 30% of the time even after multiple attempts. Downloading apps sometimes takes multiple attempts
as well. Netflix won't even load for me as it errors out with a few different errors. One of the errors that seems to happen with a lot of things is 0x87DD0006.

I haven't hard-wired the device yet as it's not easy to do with where it is located compared to the router. Here is what i have done.

Rebooted device

Rebooted router

disconnected and reconnected to WiFi on both 2.4 and 5 GHZ networks

Factory reset of Xbox One (followed the same steps above after this). After this it said i need an update again that failed multiple times until i rebooted and then it told me it wasn't needed???

Every other device on my wifi is fine including my Xbox 360.

Any help would be appreciated as this makes this device useless. I've tried 100 times to download Destiny with no luck. Doesn't even error out just doesn't load the screen to buy it.

Thoughts/Suggestions - Internet Connection Requirement

I'm connected with wifi already every time I play so its not an issue here. Xbox Live is up 99% of the time so ano issues here.

 

wifi issues

cant say i can help much on wifi... i have herd it can be spotty a few posts on xbox direct forum suggest a min and max space between the router and xb1. others have mentioned how the router is setup and how "new" it is and the avaliable speed it can push..

most will say you want it wired for speed... wifi tends to have dips and such in upload/download and will be noticable in most gaming situations. i can even say going wired you may see those high/low speed drops.

i run a gaming router that was a mid/top of the line router few years back.. i had to upgrade from a normal because it just could not keep up with the xb1 in my area. i do have dsl (not commercial) but the basic package.

did they direct you to do a soft reset (holding xbox button for 20 seconds) on console

you can do a netowrk reset. power off router and all that.. turn power off on xb1 for 1 min.(unplug)
you can go into settings netowrk, advanced, alternative mac addy, reset it.. it will restart the xb1 but when it restarts it will reset the wifi and netowrk all together..

unfortunatly i cant say if any or all will work.. but i can say if its an issue odds are it wont go away you will learn what ones work for you over others. i get issues from time to time and recently with anamous and lizard squad its not a netowrk issue but a ddos shut down of xbox servers all together.. one of those things you need to have multiple ways of checking with microsoft to see what services are down.

 

One thing i want to add is that i have the Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 router.

 

That really sounds pretty odd.Especially that it once asks for an update and then not anymore.

If dont tested yet, please try to do a offline system update.

This should give you a clean install on the OS and hopefully fix your issues.

So you setup the one with the tool and still do not get any connection to xbl at all? Or are only certain services unavailable to you?

Do you get any error codes except the one in your starting post?

If there is any chance to test a wired connection, please try it.

 

After running the tool if i use wireless or wired i get...

"There was a problem. We couldn't sign you in. Try again in a few minutes, or check your account by signing in to account.live.com. Sign in: 0x87DD0006"

or

"There was a problem. We couldn't sign you in. Try again in a few minutes, or check your account by signing in to account.live.com. Sign in: 0x87DD0019"

This is getting tiring. I'm really disappointed wired didn't work.

 

I have also the sam Router but run it wired for my xbox. So you have the latest Firmware? If yes - do you run QOS? If also yes try to disable qos settings - maybe it works? If not I would try to ask on the oficcial Netgear Forum - they should know about
that Problem an release a fix.

If not done yet, please go to
http://account.live.com and check your settings there. Maybe your password needs to be confirmed. Had that a few days in a facebook group where someone had the same problem with the saqme error message..

 

Hi i have tried with and without QOS enabled don my router. I doubt it's the router as my 360 connects every time without issue.

@BobMcFly247....i did go to account.live.com and everything was fine.

Anything else i can try? I would really like to get on my X1 and enjoy it a bit

The only thing i noticed is if i try to connect anywhere from 7-15 times it eventually connects and same thing for when trying to launch netflix. I haven't even tried to play a game online yet. I want to get Destiny but dont want to throw away another 60
bucks if i can't get online to play it.

 

Do you have any chance to try your One on a different router or internet access? Maybe at a frineds house? Just to sort out that the One may be faulty.

 

I am having the EXACT same issues with my Cisco EA6500. Wired and wireless connections intermittently cannot load friends list/apps/multiplayer games. Running WireShark found no issues on the network, 0% packet loss, 50Mbps down/15Mbps up, 47ms ping. No
other devices on the network are having issues. This started at the end of November. Hard reset of Xbox, upgrading router firmware, and hard resetting of router have not worked.

 

Sorry, since AUGUST (not November). Also, my NAT is open.
