Xbox One Live accounts need to be connected to Xbox 360 user accounts

I bought my kids an Xbox One for Christmas and created Xbox Live accounts for their individual user accounts. I need to know how to connect those Xbox Live accounts to their user accounts, which are not attached to Xbox Live accounts, on our Xbox 360 so
that they can export their saved games to the Xbox One.

Microsoft and Discord Team Up to Connect Gamers Across Xbox Live and Discord

PC and console gamers, unite! Today we are excited to announce a new collaboration between Xbox and Discord.

Connecting with friends is such a big part of why people game. Gamers all over the world use and love Discord to easily chat and connect with friends while they game. In the coming weeks, this collaboration will make it easier for gamers to choose to do just that – make it easier to connect and see what friends are playing across console and PC. It’s part of the work we are doing to provide gamers with more choice, allowing them to play how and where they want to.

In response to your feedback, you will now have the option to link your Discord account to your Xbox account, making it easier than ever to see what your friends are playing. If you are playing Sea of Thieves on your Xbox, you can now choose to give your Discord friends the ability to see that and decide whether they want to hop on their Xbox and join you.

How will it work?

From Xbox One

As an Xbox Insider, starting soon in preview, you will also have the added option to link your Xbox Live account to your Discord account directly from your Xbox One, which will become available to the broader Xbox community soon. Open the Account Settings menu on Xbox One, and select “Linked social accounts.” Here, you will see a new option for linking your Discord account. Once you receive your unique code from Xbox, open the Discord app and insert the code within the Connections tab.

From PC

From the Discord app on PC or on a mobile device, in the coming weeks you will see an option to link your Xbox account with your Discord account through the Connections tab under User Settings. Click on the Xbox Live option and sign in to your account. After enabling permission, your accounts will be linked.

After following these few simple steps, your accounts will be linked and your Xbox Live game presence can be shared across Discord, enabling friends and users in your same Discord servers to see what you’re playing on Xbox Live.

Does XBOX live still work for the Xbox 360?

I bought an xbox 360 December 2015 and my 360 came with a 1 month xbox live gold membership card,but didn't have Internet at the time now I do.I need to know a few things.
#1.It says I need broadband Internet connection, do I need to connect my 360 to the modem, or can I do it wireless?

#2.Is there anything, games, wallpapers, to download for free or do I have to pay for everything?

#3.If xbox live still is available for the Xbox 360 what games are people still playing online, like Halo 4, Cod Black Ops 2 Maybe?

#4.I don't have a xbox kinetc , do I need one for xbox live?

#5.My 360 also came with Call of Duty Black Ops 2 game to download from xbox live, if I download it will Black Ops 2 be on my system even when my one month trial runs out?

#6.When I set up a Microsoft account, will my account still be available when my 1 month trial runs out, and I'm thinking of buying an Xbox One this summer, if I do get an xbox one will my Microsoft account be available for that console when and if I connect it to xbox live?

Sorry if this topic is already in another thread, I'm asking because I never had, or used online gaming of any kind before, also if xbox live isn't available for the Xbox 360 anymore then sorry for wasting your time and lock this thread.

An Xbox Live account is a gamer profile, associated with a unique Microsoft account (Outlook/Hotmail). Each Xbox Live profile are made transparent between Xbox 360 and Xbox One. You can simply download your profile from Live, regardless which of those two platforms
you are using.

On the 360 Live membership is needed for each account. It is specific to the account that the code is applied to. On the Xbox One only one account needs to have paid membership for all users to access gold features.

Axemator is correct Xbox 360 you need to buy separate gold subscription for each user account to go on xbox live whereas Xbox one all you need is one gold account which can be transferred from xbox 360 and you can then make multiple accounts that will get
gold benefits for free on Xbox one only.

The Xbox One and Series X/S does not support local users like the Xbox 360 did. All users need a Live account.

They don't necessarily need a Live subscription. As long as your console is set as your Home console, all other accounts can share your Live sub. You just need to make another account.

It's not possible to merge accounts i'm afraid.

If you wanted to use the accounts you used on the 360 you would need to connect them to live via your 360 & then once that's done you can download them onto the xbox one via xbox live.

As those tags profiles have never connected to live before the gamertags may be in use by someone else.
