Xbox One Latency issue

Beginning on 5/12, when I run the detailed network statistics, my latency has been 99-110. I noticed the issue when I went to re-download some games I had previously deleted to clear memory space and after a day they were only at 2%. I bought a game and
downloaded it on 5/10 and it finished in a few hours. It is not my internet connection. When I run a speed test, I get between 38-49 latency. I have spoken to Xbox support twice now and we have gone thru all the trouble shooting steps and nothing has worked.
They said they have heard of these issues and told me to post the issue here and a moderator will get back to me. This is very frustrating. Please help.

Xbox One Latency Issue?

I'm experiencing high latency in multiplayer. 6mbDownload/1mbsUpload vary as well as the latency 150ms+

My connection speeds are 15mbs Download-3mbs Upload 35ms ping/latency. ISP is Athena broadband

I realize the speeds are slow but its my only option.Never was a problem with the xbox360

I have ran several speed tests to Seattle WA which gave me 9-10mbs Download-2mbs Upload 90-100ms ping/latency.

Ive also ran other speed tests with variable 300-500 mile servers with 15mbs Download 2-3mbs Upload with 50-70ms ping/latency

Nat Type is open

Xbox is HARDWIRED. Only other device connected to network is a ipad2

Netgear Nighthawk Ac1900 Router

Cat6 3ft Ethernet Cables

I have done a hard reset on the Xbox also Reset the router Etc.

Spoke with ISP they have been pretty helpful in trying to monitor my speeds an connection. This has not been a problem in the past.

Is this a Microsoft Server issue? Is there a solution? Anyone else on the East side experiencing this?

Dedicated servers? Then why the lag and connection advantages?

You know I just did my first ever test with the Xbox one. Even though I'm paying for comcasts higher speed, my latency is shit. Completely different than when I run the tests on the PC. (5xs slower) Anyone know why the Xbox one latency is so much worse than the my pc's. It won't matter if it's on a dedicated server if I have high latency. Just confused whether its a comcast issue or ms issue.

I might have narrowed the problem down. When i download the games to my external HD, they go slower. But when I do it straight to my internal drive it is a little speedier. Are there any known issue with downloading to en external HD? The one I have
is 3.0 USb and 5400RPM. Would that affect it and why?

Your latency isn't a problem. The speed test servers are based in Seattle, Washington so your latency depends on where you are in the world. Mine is 151ms and i'm in the UK.

You don't say what your actual speed is though.

As for USB hard drives being slower. I haven't noticed any problems and mines also USB 3.0 5400RPM

Mine actually seems faster at loading that the internal does. I believe the internal drive is also 5400RPM as well.

Maybe you just have a slow drive?

I only mention the latency because when I was talking to Xbox support they said it was too high. I am at 103 right now. When I use my internal, they download about 1% per minute. When they are done, I just move them to the external. Don't know why, but
that works.

the xbox one latency issues are quite obvious with the current results im seeing posted. Hopefully this is patched soon but people want to be mainly around 80ms on latency or lower...next gen with old original xbox latency...nice.

I just did this last night and noticed a world of difference even though myping didn't change from the 60ms it was before I started.

@lionking7001 - There's no problem, as far as your ping. This revolves around one simple fact and it has to do with distance.

If you were to go to your computer and change the location for a test node located in Seattle, WA (US), you would no longer see such low delay as 5ms towards this server. In fact, it is more likely that you would see delay that correspond with your consoles
delay.

Please keep in mind that testing your Xbox One for basic IP connectivity test, has one pre-configured IP address towards this one known server located in Seattle, WA (US). In comparison to pingtest.net, or speedtest.net, which by default are tests based
on best ping towards a link that has the lowest delay and lowest cost to reach the destination.

If you haven't already then I would suggest that you start a fresh new thread with a detailed description of your situation, along with any troubleshooting steps you have tried so far.

Appreciate if you can also provide the outcome from
pingtest.net and change the location of the testserver to a server located in Seattle, WA, so you don't try and run the default settings, which is a test based on best ping.
