i have been having issues with laggy videos for months, new games, old games and even Xbox 360 backwards compatible games. Whenever I play a game, it runs fine, for the most part, I do encounter some lag issues sometimes, but in game videos are consistently
ruined because of a lag about every 2 seconds. I am playing offline so there is no reason I should be lagging whatsoever. The only possibility that I could think of is that maybe it's because my games are mostly digital downloads, but it's not just one or
two games, it's EVERY game. Please help, this is extremely frustrating

    :)

Media Player is laggy / stuttering since Win 10 updates playing h264 @1080p60

Over one year my Xbox One works fine, playing my h264 videos from USB HDD. Since Win 10, the Media Player is laggy, playback is horrible. My videofiles are fully h264 compatible, the stream is 1080p60 @ 50mbps. All my other devices are playing my Videos
    without any problems.

The app is definitely buggy and / or there are codec problems in the system. Anyone knows more about? Is Microsoft reading here? Bugfix is needed.

Also I've done about 15 hard resets, so don't suggest that

  5. One thing I can think of is that the console could perform poorly if it's running too hot. Is the Xbox One in a properly vented area? It needs some "breathing room" to exhaust the heat produced by the CPU/GPU. It should not be in any confined place nor should
it have any objects sitting on top of it, especially over the open vents.

Another thing I'm wondering is if you have the console positioned vertically? If so, please note that the console is designed to be positioned
horizontally only due to the optical drive's design, and vertically positioning the console may cause the disc to skip, especially during in-game cutscenes (if that's what you mean by "in game videos").

Let me know if any of this helps!

  6. Yeah I meant in game cutscenes, but it is horizontal in an open TV stand, with plenty of breathing room

  7. Another thing I'm thinking is that it could possibly be your TV either adding some extra processing to the HDMI video signal before it is output to the screen.

Give this article a read and see if it helps your lag problem: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/stuttering-video

You know about "Clear Motion"? That's when the TV "smoothes out" the movement on the screen at 60-240Hz. You often see TVs in stores playing Pixar movies with this setting turned on. It especially looks weird on 24FPS live-action movies when the background
moves smooth but not the subject. Usually medium to higher-end TVs have that feature. That's the next thing I'm thinking could possibly be causing lag on your screen. Try turning that setting off in your TV settings with your remote and see if that helps.

    Good evening

Check your network connection and make sure you have a stable, high-speed internet connection. If your internet connection is slow or unstable, it can cause laggy gameplay.

Try using a different HDMI cable, as a faulty or low-quality cable can cause laggy gameplay.

Check your Xbox One S video settings and make sure that your console is set to output at the correct resolution (in this case, 4K). Also, try adjusting the video output settings to see if that improves the performance.

t's possible that there could be a hardware issue with your Xbox One S or TV.
