Xbox One Lag when Xbox App used.

This website is basically useless. None of the "Ambassadors" know anything, Support never answers, the forum doesn't answer. Anyone want to buy an xbox let me know. I'm moving to playstation. Sick of having unresolved network problems.

I'm having this issue on my original Xbox One (had it for about a year) ever since the forced update on Monday. It is especially bad when trying to type multiple messages in Warframe chat, and I can hear my console chugging away whenever I'm doing anything.

The Store lags, my games lag, the Game DVR App lags, my Settings lag... Everything lags.

If this is to do with that update, they need to fix this fast. I keep thinking my Xbox One is about to give up and die with a new form of RRoD.

I played split screen for a good amount of time with my brother, he was using a 360 controller through the xbox app and i was using a normal xbox one controller through the console itself.

The results i got were mixed, between playing by myself and with him using a controller through the xbox app.

The normal Xbox App didn't seem to have any difference though. We were lagging when playing together quite frequent, and I was lagging at the same rate when playing alone.

However, and because it became so inconvenient playing with so much stutter, we switched to the beta version (22.22.28020.00000) and while the lag persisted using the setup that we always used, it looked to be a little more stable for myself alone.

It may be just random, or maybe it's performance issues that causes the lag. Perhaps playing co-op on the same console uses more resources than singleplayer and thus it limits the functionality of the streaming factor to keep the game at as much higher of
a framerate as possible. Maybe not, as there are alot of people that still get stuttering playing by themselves for sure.

Or maybe it's actually something as simple as having a controller connected to your computer.

Just to follow up, I've been playing for over a week now using the beta App with my Xbox One on Wifi without issues. Last night it started experiencing terrible lag and hiccups. Switched to the standard app, same issue. A reboot of my Xbox One fixed it
for me. I'm not entirely sure this is an issue with the app?

Sorry if you have checked this already: Is whatever input you are using on the TV for the Xbox One actually set to "Game Mode"? Many TV's are "Game Mode" capable, but you actually have to set it to "Game Mode" for each input you use on the TV for it to
be active.

What game/app are you noticing this in? I know from experience in Battlefield4 when there is too much going on, the Xbox framerate slows right down giving the appearance of lag or slow response. Not an input lag issue, but one of that the Xbox processing/graphic
power can't keep up.
