Xbox one Lag Spikes

I've had my Xbox one since the day of it's release. I pre-ordered so I have one of the first in production. I haven't had any problems up until about a week ago when the power supply started making noises and I get 10-15 second lag spikes every 15 minutes
or so. My roommate has the same settings and is about the same distance from the router and hasn't had any issues. I'm just wondering if this is due to the hardware in my xbox getting older or if there is some other issue.

My Xbox One S is laggy

In Online games, my Xbox One S has these random lag spikes (A LOT). I use to have a Xbox One, and I never had these problems. Once I got the Xbox One S, the problem started to happen.

Lag Description: Everything else freezes in place, but my character is able to move around. The spike happens from 1 to sometimes 4 seconds. Once the spike clears, my characters jumps back to where he was before he started lagging, and all the enemies teleport
to where they traveled to while I was lagging. This lag spikes happens about every 15 minutes. Please help me fix the problem.

I'm sorry to see any connection issues! The power supply noises may not be related to the latency spiking issue, however to test this you could always use your roommate's power supply. If it's still spiking, I would suggest to go wired if you're wireless
(or vice versa) to see if it happens then.

To be honest, it very well could be hardware related due to the age of the console. Nearly 4 years with no issues prior to this? That's outstanding! Hopefully we can get this sorted out to have it last you even longer.

Let me know how those tests go! If they don't help out, post back with your router and modem manufacturers and model numbers so I can double check any settings that would need to be set to ensure a smooth connection on both of the consoles.

I have not contacted my ISP yet but I have been gaming for a long time on xbox and this is the first time I have ever experienced these lag spikes.

This was ran while in a game of Black Ops 2.

This was tested while a lag spiked happened while in my xbox live party when my friend was talking and then his voice got choppy

Out internet speed is pretty fast, my orig. xbox one could play the game like nothing, some lag spikes here and there but every game has that

Funny how I haven't had this issue on my xbox one x ever but when I go on my xbox series S then it just starts having the lag spike issues with my captures.
