    Xbox One / Kinnect & Projection setups


    As an owner of a Projection setup for my home theater which I also use for gaming the new Xbox One system has given me several headaches with all the kinnect integration.

    I have a main Rack cabinet thats mounted in a wall on the opposite side of my display so my first issues is the length of the Cord for the Knnect camera and the fact its really designed only for people that have all there AV components and there Xbox mounted
    directly below or above there TV. I need to be able to run this cable extended disctances to get form my Xbox One to where I could hope to place my kinnect camera.

    So first off I'd like to see an extension cable for the Kinnect camera. Secondly however I need a system for mounting the Kinnect, my Dispaly is 100" and there is no room below the display to mount the camera my only option would be to mount it above so
    some kind of kit that would let me mount the camera to a wall would be very helpful.

    These issues were never a problem with 360 since you didn't need the camera but with the One I'm finding more and more little issues of not having the Kinnect mounted where my display is but it seems nobody in the design team ever thought some people don't
    place there xbox right at there TV or that they might have massive TV's.

    3D question

    Mist 3D Projection, uses more than two Multiverse Projectors & wouldn't be classed as Stereophonic 3D anyway... The reason, why you have not seen S3D with Mist Projection setups..

    Epic Projection Keyboard & Xbox One

    I just recently was given a Laser Projection Keyboard & would like to use it w/Xbox One! The problem is that it won't work w/Xbox One but will with Xbox 360 because it has bluetooth capabilites & Xbox One does not! Does anyone know if there will be a download
    or app for Xbox One to be able to use this device?? Even the Epic Projection Keyboard states its work on video game consoles! Thank you.

    Ripped off

    I suggest you try to go through the kinnect setup on more time. Also are you using the chat headset when you giving the "xbox record that" command? If your not then that is your issue. Playing loud games with noise from your speakers will not work well
    if the kinnect is trying to decipher and listen.

    Mine works every time I speak through the microphone.

    Again I suggest: Redo the kinnect configuration in settings, kinnect.

    Find it [Mod Removed] you cant buy a xboxone kinnect anywhere from microsoft!!!! as can be stolen or lost not happy micosoft!!!!!

    Too late for me. I was refunded for the kinnect itself by the seller and later discovered that nobody sells the kinnect separately. I can do without it for a time but for the xbox one to be used to its full potential as advertised, I really can't do
    without a kinnect.

    Wow >I have my Kinect 1.0 sitting on my centre speaker< Really? You will be starting a thread in the future indicating your ire with MS because they didn't make the Kinect vibration-proof. If you want a sure way to break your Kinect this is it. A long slow
    drawn out death but none-the-less death. Good luck with that.

    Yes, it's a huge PITA. I have my Kinect 1.0 sitting on my centre speaker, under the screen. I have an active USB extension cable to run from the sensor to my equipment rack. Works perfectly.

    The kinect 2.0 cable is WAY too short. There currently is no extension available, with only vague promises of support in the future. I have my Xbox One in my rack, with the kinect 2.0 cable hanging in the open and just reaching my front right tower, where
    the sensor sits. Ugly and I hate it, but it works.

    It is only a PITA if you want to use the Kinect.
