xbox one kinect

Hey I just bought a new xbox one with kinect. I really wanted to know as to what are the best kinect games available for Xbox one. THis is excluding the Kinect sports rivals and Shape up which i already have.

And what are the upcoming games for xbox one with the kinect feature.

Kinect types and versions

As far as i am aware there is kinect for xbox 360 and kinect for xbox one. I refer to mine as a day one kinect for xbone and assume others refer to v2 as kinect for xbox one rather than 360. Afaik the original kinect released with xbone is the current version

Hey congrats on getting the Xbox One. You want to know about Kinect games only? So no games that use the controller but have Kinect functionality?

 

D4 is a good Kinect game (although its a little on the weird side!)

 

Dance Central Spotlight, Zoo Tycoon, and Fighter Within.

Dead Rising 3 and Ryse Son of Rome have pretty cool Kinect integration

 

Alien Isolation uses Kinect to ramp up the tension to the max!

 

Hi. new to this forum

I just bought an xbox yesterday and the guy who i bought it from said the kinect is rubbish. But i got one anyways. Whats the general consensus regarding kinects?

 

My kids absolutely love Fantasia: Music Evolved and Rabbids Invasion.

I just like it because I have almost ditched the remote(s) for good. Once the DVR function is included, my voice will do all of my TV stuff.

 

Kinect is great.

"Alien Isolation" uses subtle movements to allow you to peep around and over objects as you try to avoid the alien.

"Tomb Raider: The Definative Edition" and many others allow you to mange the menues verbally, swap weaons, make other changes etc...

Driving games use it to allow you to see in the direction you look.

All games use it to allow you to record a game clip by saying "XBox Record That".

"Zookeeper" uses it to allow you to interact with the animals.

Blue Ray / DVD Player uses it to tell your films what to do.

Skype uses it to... well... skype.

For the OP "The Fighter Within" is probably the most entertaining local co-op you'll ever play on the ONE.

Absolutely hilarious.

The consensus of gamers is that it enhances games.

Critics tend to be silver, not have many games or they don't actually have Kinect.

 

In Alien Isolation Kinect isn't just used for movement, It picks up sounds so the hunting Alien will home in on you if your not being nice and quiet...

 

To answer your question Wizard Cereal, I believe the Kinect 2.0 is absolutely fantastic. It truly makes everything easier, as well as fun. As others have said it can pull you into a game even more (is its optional). I can not imagine my Xbox One without
Kinect

 

If they never make a game that I would use Kinect for...I would still find the Kinect a must have device. Voice commands are a necessity and the camera for Skype is nice for talking to my out of state family.

the kinect's best use is for voice controls. definitely worth having for this use alone.
