XBOX ONE KINECT TURNS OFF

My Kinect has been turning off, and then on, and after a while it shuts off completely. I have done several full resets ,it works for awhile. Then it starts turning off again. I have to constantly unplug the Kinect, and plug it back in. Itake it the Kinect
is faulty. Has anyone else had the Same issues? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The problem is starting drive me just a little crazy. The console is two years old.

Kinect Problem

The Kinect for 360 doesn't "turn off". You can just unplug it, however. For the Xbox One, follow these instructions:
support.xbox.com/.../turn-on-off

 

Cheaters

Xbox listen.

Turn off PNSFNEO's controller.

*Kinect listens and turns off the users controller*

Turn off PNSFNEO's Xbox One.

*Kinect listens and shuts down the users Xbox One*

Xbox stop listening.

It's just the beta box having system issues.

 

There are a lot of people having this error, I have been having this issue since April's update. A hard reset followed by me unplugging the console for 30 seconds allows me to use my console for a few days until the kinect errors on and off again and before
having to repeat those steps. I think it's software related and few think it's hardware.

 

I have the same problem. Xbox support said they would fix it for $89 A new Kinect is $150. They should replace the Kinect for free, it is a bug in the Kinect. I am going to destroy my Xbox One so it is no longer a revenue source for Microsoft I thought about
selling it but then whoever bought it would still generate income for Microsoft buying software. I am dropping all use of Microsoft's products and switching to Sony. Microsoft refuses to take responsibility for releasing a bug and being fixing it for free.
I am looking at starting a class-action lawsuit against Microsoft on this issue and suggest that others that have been charged or failed to receive support from Microsoft on this issue prepare to join my lawsuit. I will also seek punitive damages because
of Microsoft's refusal to accept responsibility. If anyone has information they would like to share on this subject I can be reached at

Thanks so much for your help. I agree, it has become a pita. I don't want to run out and get another just to find out it has the same issues. We actually use the Kinect alot. My system is going on two years old,I would expect to get more than two years out
of a $499 system. I have had an Xbox since the first one. And went through three 360's with the rrod, and they took care of that. If this is a large scale problem with the Kinect, I think they should take care of it, and at least up the warranty back to three
years.

 

Just an update, I reset my Xbox one when I posted, and ever since it has been working. It could possibly be a software issue. I figure if the Kinect was bad, it would turn off all of the time. Some people think it could be the console. I'm going to try and
wait for the windows 10 upgrade for the Xbox one to see if that stops it from failing. I don't want to run out and get a new one,and have the same issues. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.i love the console. Thanks for.all.of goud

 

I've too had issues with me kinect,I tried all the advice given and still had trouble with it.i transfered all my games to my external hard drive and and did a factory re set but once up and running again and my kinect plugged in it did the same off and
on so I looked at my kinect closely and saw that the fan was dusty so I blew out the dust and guess what had no issues since with it,I think when it randomly disconects it gets hot so switches off but on a cool day it never disconnected so didn't get too hot.think
its to do with the fan tbh cooling the heat sink if dusty it will work but not fully to cool it hence random disconnections,hope this helps it worked for me.

 

The above works! I've tried everything to get my kinect stable. I was constantly looking for ways to fix it and simply blowing into the vent finally did the trick. It's been working for two straight days now when I couldn't get it to work for two straight
hours for the last few months.

 

I went into settings then into system, gave my xbox one a name . Then go into language and location ,spoken language and pick one other then " None". RESTART NOW! My Kinect has being working 3 days now without turning itself off & on. Hope this works for
somebody.

 

I've got my xbox one with kinect bundle less than a year ago. I've noticed that my kinect worked fine until a couple of months ago. Then I started having this aparently random shutdowns. I've tried soft and hard resets but it doesn't help. I don't know it
it's related to a SW update or not. It' seems to be a lack of quality (SW or HW I don't know) issue if it happens to many people and in my case happened even before the 1 year warranty expired.
