Xbox one kinect "show guide" doesn't show guide, it opens the friends menu on ...

Since the UI update saying "Xbox show guide" doesn't show the TV listings any more, instead it opens the friends menu on left. Is this deliberate or is a fix possible?

Xbox OneGuide - Does it use Bandwidth?

It probably does use data. My regular tv guide doesn't have the picture of the show on it. The one guide shows the cover of the show on it.

Anyone else have a problem causing with the Xbox bringing up alternative apps when using Kinect?

When I say, "Xbox show guide", it acts as if I double tapped the home button on the controller. Only way for me to pull up the channel guide is to manually access it with a remote or a controller.

 

You need to use "xbox oneguide" to see the TV Guide.

Also, there is no "xbox close" command from there, to go back to full screen tv watching you need to use "xbox goto tv".

They completely changed the voice commands everyone has been using for 2 years for no valid reason. They should have named the side snap center something other than "guide".

 

Thank you for confirming I am not the only one who has noticed that there is no close voice command inside of the oneguide. Drives me absolutely insane that I cant just say close if I change my mind..

 

This happens to me (showing the firends menu) when I say "xbox pause" while watching Netflix or Hulu. It seems I have to first say "Xbox select" and then "pause" to pause now.
