Xbox One Kinect Security - Peeping Tom!

Ok so my father is convinced that someone can hack an Xbox and watch us in our home through the Kinect. He's so paranoid that he has covered my Kinect for both my 360 and One. Is there anything anyone has that can verify or show
documentation that I can show him that this is NOT possible? I contacted Xbox through chat but it did not give any viable/useful information. Thanks!

The Kinect Sensor IS technically a web-camera that has the potential of being accessed remotely. That's just a given in terms of cyber security. It's the same deal as people who put a piece of black tape over the webcams in their laptops.

There are plenty of security updates that keeps most hackers out, but no platform is perfectly secure. There is no such document (afaik) that says the Xbox is absolutely impenetrable.

Even then, what's there to see but a dude playing video games on the couch? Well... he could be watching TV too...
