    XBOX ONE Kinect Recall?


    It seems to me that the Xbox kinect should be recalled. I recently worked with the support team to help fix by kinect which was not working and was causing my xbox device to power down. Support said I needed a new kinect and sent me a new one (refurbished).
    Of course I had to pay $15 out of pocket for shipping. The one they sent did not work and now they said they could send me a new one but they would have to charge my credit card until the received the old one. What a crock! My kid has already had to wait to
    get the first replacement for a defective device, now he would have to wait again and I have to pay for it up front. Not the best customer support Microsoft. Very disappointed!

    With all the issues I see online and on youtube with the kinect I am certainly not going to go out and by a new one because I will likely run into the same issue.

    Kinect types and versions

    As far as i am aware there is kinect for xbox 360 and kinect for xbox one. I refer to mine as a day one kinect for xbone and assume others refer to v2 as kinect for xbox one rather than 360. Afaik the original kinect released with xbone is the current version

    You can send yours back if you want, but I LOVE mine. What are your complaints exactly? Or are you unhappy with every single thing about the console?

    Both new consoles went backwards in regards to functionality but they will bring it back. The other option you had was to wait until the released the functionality you want before buying it.

    I am shipping mine out this morning and its more then a "Few thousand" lol it's prob going to be a RECALL But they do not want to say anything because playstation will dance all over "xbox needs to recall there fancy kinect system"
