    Xbox One Kinect constantly disconnecting/connecting while playing games


    As per subject my Kinect is constantly popping up a message in the middle of the screen saying the Kinect has been disconnected and then 15 seconds later popping up another message saying it has been connected.

    Rinse and Repeat Ad Naseum.

    This is really really really really annoying because it covers about half the screen and often you concede a goal (in FIFA) or someone shoots you because you can't see through the error message.

    I now have to disconnect the Kinect (oh the irony!) to be able to make use of the XBone.

    I have tried to reset the xbox and the Kinect is securely plugged in - i have unplugged/replugged it more times than I can count.

    Anyone else have this issue? Anyone know how to fix?

    I know you're frustrated, and I completely understand why. I know you say apologies mean nothing, but I do want to apologize for the way you've been treated. I went ahead and bubbled this up to the proper team. I do hope that we can make this right for you.

    I was/am having the same problem. I chatted with support 2 weeks ago, they determined the sensor is faulty and told me they had to send me a new one, yet their system was messed up and wouldn't let them generate a service order. They transferred me to the
    phone version of support, same thing, the system wouldn't let them generate a service order. They took down my information and since I had been so patient with them they said once the system was back up they would put it in for advance replacement at no charge.
    Two weeks later I still have a broken sensor. After 30 minutes wasted in chat support and at least that wasted on phone support they told me this simply was not possible. I can wait weeks to have mine sent in and repaired or replaced and sent back, or I can
    be charged extra to get it way after I should have already received it in the first place. I was told they could help me if I could just find my service order number. I was told this repeatedly, and the failure in logic was jaw dropping. If I could only provide
    what was obviously never created then I could have what is supposedly impossible. So there are three options, one, the person I talked to on July 25th lied to me. Two, the people I talked to today lied to me. Three, Microsoft's stance which is that I am lying
    to them now. This is simply unacceptable. I am met with ignorance and incompetence and it's passed off to me as though it were my fault. Apologies are also unacceptable because they mean nothing. The person on the other end of a phone call or a chat window
    doesn't even remotely care how much I am inconvenienced or frustrated that I have spent half the day not once, but twice now trying to get this issue resolved and it is far from over. I bought an Xbox One over a PS4 because of awesome customer service in the
    past from Microsoft. In the future it looks like I might as well go with Sony. For all of you with this issue be wary of any promises they make.

    Hi there, it may be you need to reset the Kinect sensor connection, to do so give this a try.

    .

    1.Power off the console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

    2.Unplug the console’s power.

    3.Unplug the Kinect sensor from the Xbox One console.

    4.Plug the console power back in.

    5.Press the Xbox button on your console to power up the Xbox One.

    6.Press the Menu button on your controller.

    7.Select Settings, and then select Kinect.

    8.Plug the Kinect sensor into the back of the console and wait up to two minutes for it to be recognized.

    Experiencing the same issue. Have tried the steps above and the other troubleshooting instructions (Kinect Won’t Turn On | Kinect Will Not Work | Xbox One)
    a number of times now. Anything else I could try?
