Xbox One KILLING Up/Download speeds.

Hello community! This problem has been plaguing me over the past 48 hours when I started to pre-download Elder Scrolls Online. Normally, before download and on a regular basis, my systems Detailed Network Stats tell me I'm running 16-17Mbps download and
1.5mbps upload. Which makes since, I have 15Mbps through my ISP.First noticed while downloading ESO, THE MOMENT I begin a download and installation, my download plummets to between .5-4Mbps. Initially, I thought it was an ISP issue. They came out, installed
new cable lines with no splitters, the whole deal. Yet, the problem persists. Below will be a list of things I've tried and questions on things to try that I've seen on forums!

- Yes, I've tried turning it off and back on again. I've unplugged and reset every possible thing that can be.

- I have tried resetting MOST settings.

- The problem persists whether I'm connected via Ethernet AND wirelessly.

The one gone thing I have yet to try, just from the fear of having hundreds of hours worth of downloads lost, is a factory reset. Has anyone tried this? Or even heard of any success with this? EOS took 17 hours to download, and I'd rather not wipe everything
and sit through those excruciating hours again.

Do games download faster while in standby?

Quick question. I'm downloading Halo 5 on to my xbox one. Will keeping my Xbox in standby mode speed up the download faster or does it not really matter?

 

Need help with internet speeds

my current speed says 768k, 1.5mbps , 3mbps, downloads speeds up to 3mbps. I know thats really slow but what do i really need for xbox live what upload speed download speed do i need? is up to 10mbps download speed up to 1mbps upload speed enough? thanks

You will never get 17mbs fyi thats just dummy packets

Its thoroughput they are testinar

Any isp woll tell you that

When bandwidth testing happens they time packets for a short period but it is not sustainablr

Just like if you have a 100mbs connection you wont get 100mbs everytime

There is too many routers gateways and nodes between you and any given download server

If your internet node is slow then your total connection will slow

There is usually a program in linux thst lets you seee the gateways or nodes your connection goes thru

You never will get a direct connection

 

Also if you are on cable rather then dsl you are sharing your bandwidth btw if noone in the neighbourhood is using the same cable internet your speed will be maxed

But if one person comes on then you share the same bandwidth

Only way around that is by using dsl or fibre
