Xbox One Keyboard wont type

    Xbox One Keyboard wont type


    Hi, in a few apps (netflix, edge, internet browser pro) and even searching for movies in the store, im not able to type anything using the on screen keyboard with the xbox controller. I had a apple keyboard plugged into the usb to use symbols like @ which
    are not present on the on screen keyboard all the time which was working fine but now they’ve both stopped responding. On the controller I can press A to select apps and navigate but it will not let me select anything on the onscreen keyboard.

    Xbox keyboard

    On my xbox my keyboard wont pop up to type in messages. Also none of my invites show up saying I invited them.

    xbox keyboard dosnt appeare

    When im going through the OOBE I was able to download smart glass. But now when im trying to connect to my network it will not bring up the keyboard to type my network pw in.

    Keyboard wont show up during any situation where it needs too.

    I have already powerd cycled, Wont allow me to reset xbox one to default settings due to the fact im still in the OOBE section.

    When you can let's try a
    quick factory reset     of the console, then check if you are able to use the Keyboard feature on the console with the USB keyboard plugged in or with the controller. During this process please be sure to keep your games and apps installed when asked to do
    so.

    xbox companion app on PC no keyboard shows up on it.

    Hello thank you for replying.

    I have done all those steps and it still wont work for me, I have even power cycled my xbox series x and reset my PC but the xbox companion app still wont display the keyboard for typing on my PC.

    Compatible Keyboards

    Any usb keyboard should function on the Xbox One. Are you trying to play a game using the keyboard/mouse or just for typing?

    Any USB keyboard will work with your XBox ONE but that's for typing fella.

    Hi, Currently keyboards and mice are not fully supported by the Xbox One. this means that mice will not work, and the keyboard can only be used to type messages and codes on the dashboard.
