Xbox one keyboad & mouse gaming

My stepson has the xbox one, and like me he hates the standard hand held controller for using with 1st person shooters. I was planning to get him a mouse & keyboard with the adapter for x-mas. I want to know would it work with the new current 1st person
games already out/just been released?

Also would the controls be fully customizable? Like the same with PC games. I dont wish to waste money on something that isnt going to work.

Seems more of a war on pc with 64 players though and gfx are better, but i gree much easier to play on a controller even on the pc it`s hard with a controller as everyone uses mouse and keyboad and a mouse is so more accurate.

But when you have 32 in a team on pc it doesn`t matter that 6 people are camping for a jet, it might matter more on consoles.

All games on Xbox One are designed to use the Xbox One controller, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

I don't even think there are even any games that utilize a keyboard and mouse as a substitute for a controller.

Plugging in a USB keyboard will only help with text input (e.g. typing text messages to send to other players). Plugging in a mouse will do nothing.

I believe what the OP is referring to was the Third Party Adapters that were created initially for the Xbox 360. If this is case then those may or may not work properly. The OP should keep in mind that those Adapters were never true KB Support but merely
an emulator to provide a false Controller Input.
