    Xbox One keeps turning off when launching a game or app


    I woke up this morning jumped on xbox to play some Destiny 2. I was playing the game fine for about 20 minutes when my xbox randomly turned itself off. I turned it back on and now every time I try to launch a game or app the console
    will turn off. Why is this happening everything was fine and now all I can do is turn it on, sign into my account and sit on the home menu as soon as I try to launch any game, app or even the xbox store the xbox will turn off. The fan is working fine so it
    isn't an overheating problem and the power brick is solid green and fine. I would appreciate if I could receive some help on this issue ASAP considering this is my day off of work.

    Xbox turning off when launching games

    the console shuts off by itself after launching a game. i have tried everything i can think of to fix it. i have seen people have had the issue before but never see how it was corrected. if anyone has any guidance that would be great.

    Xbox One not loading games or apps

    When I turn my Xbox One on and select a game (downloaded or disc) or app (e.g. crunchyroll) the Xbox makes a select noise but doesn't load the app or game. I have tried resetting the console and turning off instant on but to no avail. Please help me!

    every time i want to play an xbox 360 game on my xbox series x it forces me to start from the beginning

    i have tried to close the game but keep the xbox on, and that also works, when launching the game after closing it, it keeps the saved game and i can load the last checkpoint.

    so the problem only happens when i turn the xbox off, regardless of i close the game or not before turning the xbox off.

    Splitgate will not start whatsoever.

    New problem. When I did this, the game launched, and when it launched I started up a game of casual, and when I loaded into the game, my Xbox completely shut off on me. This was also happening when I was in the tutorial stage of the game. The Xbox completely turned off 3 times before this 4th occurrence.

    Anyway to fix it? It is currently on my internal storage drive, and I am playing on an Xbox One S. I just want to play the game and my Xbox keeps shutting off.

    Also when it is turning off, I turn it back on, and it chimes and I have the chime feature off on my Xbox, and the chime makes a very scratchy Xbox on sound also, just thought I should throw that in there.

    The Xbox app keeps launching on startup

    Kindly open Xbox app, click the profile menu in the top-left and select the Settings option. > General. Then turn off the “Automatically launch app at startup” option then clear the “Keep the app running in the background when I close it” option to prevent the app from running after closing the app.

    Hi,

    You can't turn it off completely unfortunately. You don't need to turn off your console. If playing one of your online games with this issue, you should close the game completely when you've finished playing it.

    Doing this when switching games or shutting down the console prevents a 'snapshot' of the game being saved. The next time you launch a game, it will load from scratch rather from quick resume.

    It would most likely if you have instant-on enabled with keep my console/games/apps up to date and when xbox is off turn off my storage unchecked...
