    Xbox one keeps switching hard drives .....


    Ok i have a seagate 3t external hard drive i have used it for over 2 months on my xboxone no problems today all of a sudden the xboxbox started switching to my internal hard drive , i reboot the system then external will show up then it will switch to the
    internal .... whats going on?????

    External hard drive

    External Hard drive was working for 9 months now xbox one doesn't detect it. Hard drive does show up when I plug it into my computer. I tried switching USB slots and hard reset nothing is working.

    Format Hard Drive

    I'm having issues formatting my hard drive for the xbox 360S. Hard drive keeps showing up "unformatted" so I format the hard drive and nothing happens, Xbox keeps saying that it is unformatted. Any solutions to this problem??

    Sorry to hear it. This is more than likely an issue with the Seagate brand itself. Seagate has always had issues being compatible with the Xbox consoles.

    If you don't have many games on the drive and don't mind doing it, try hooking the drive to your pc and reformatting it then reconnect it to the console and set it up and redownload/install your content.

    Hopefully that will fix the issue for you.

    Sorry to hear it. This is more than likely an issue with the Seagate brand itself. Seagate has always had issues being compatible with the Xbox consoles.

    If you don't have many games on the drive and don't mind doing it, try hooking the drive to your pc and reformatting it then reconnect it to the console and set it up and redownload/install your content.

    Hopefully that will fix the issue for you.

    There's no point in switching hard drives from your broken original Xbox to the Xbox One S. If you want more storage space simply buy an external hard drive.

    Seagate hard drives have had issues on the 360, not matter which one it is. I would only add a couple of games for now to test it out and see if it keeps working though before you move everything over.

    License transfers are only needed when you switch consoles, not hard drives.

    yeas with saving to the discs just helps to keep the system to keep from scratching the disc as well...but if the game becomes laggy from reading on the hard drive it will switch to the disc

    Data Transfer Cable

    The transfer cable is only meant to transfer data from one Xbox hard drive to another. You would not be able to keep the 60gb connected and use the hard drive like that. The data would have to be transferred to another hard drive.
