Xbox one keeps signing me out

Hi there

I got myself an Xbox one for Xmas along with gta5. I've been attempting to play online ever since with no success.

I previously had an Xbox 360 with gta5 and had no issues playing online whatsoever. The issue I'm having with the Xbox one is that whenever I try to load an online session on gta5, the load screen will time out and return to single player. I have on few
occasions managed to enter a lobby, but these are either solo lobbies or with maybe three or four people. Even when this does happen, It will sign me out of Xbox live within 5 minutes or so and as usual, return to single player mode.

I've tried a few things but to be honest, I'm not great with computers or network settings etc. My NAT setting is 'open' so that shouldn't be an issue.

Internet speed test resulted in:

ping: 17ms

download: 33.46mbps

upload: 2.64mbps

Connectivity and online gaming tests both come back with no problems. I haven't tried any other games online as I haven't got any at the moment.

xbox live SUCKS

Xbox live keeps signing me out! Ever since I've had an xbox one s it keeps signing me out and making me quit games. I also have good internet 100 mbps google fiber, it's becoming a real pain in the butt.

BTW I'm not even playing online!

 

try a hard restart of you console and your router. (powering down and unplugging for a few minutes)

 

Tried that earlier today, Even went to the extent of a factory default reset on the Xbox just in case I'd messed up or missed something on installation. Still nothing.

 

Are you using a wireless connection, try hard wire to you router. could be a week signal?

 

May have something to do with xblive being hacked on Christmas day, google it. I keep losing connection as well even though my phone & computer stay connected. I have TWC 20.0 broadband, never had an issue this bad till christmas day. As of now 12/31, its
better but still acting weird. My NAT is going bonkers, i have no friends list, and my smartglass app isnt working.

 

Above was posted on 12/31 @ 7:05pm central time, not on 1/1 @ 1:05am wtf?? Typed this twice too because i lost connection again. There should be a core service alert. But there isnt which is bs. Its now 7:29pm.

 

I have been following the lizard squad news but I thought that was all done with now?

 

Managed to get online today for about 15 minutes in a full lobby, I then got the usual 'signed out return to single player' message. I ran an online gaming connection test and it returned a '100% packet loss' error message.

I've tried following the Microsoft online support page re packet loss but I'll be honest, I just don't understand most of it. As I said, I'm really no good with networks and computers etc.

I'm starting to think that I should have just settled with the 360 as it was effortless and just worked, I've had the XBO for a week now and have managed around 45 minutes of interrupted online gaming.
