Xbox One Keeps Shutting Off (Not Hot)

I purchased a refurbished Xbox One from Gamestop a couple weeks ago. The first week it worked fine though I only played around 6-8 hours. The following week it began to shut down mid game. At first I thought it was a heat issue. I unplugged it and waited
for it to cool down but this has been a continual issue. I tried another game and the same thing happened. At the moment, I can play 30-40 minutes any game before it just completely shuts down. I've tried multiple fixes outside of taking it apart which seems
excessive considering it was recently purchased. Its sits about 4 feet off the floor and I keep the area dust free as possible. Is this a defect? Is there anything I am missing?

Any help is appreciated.

In that case Gamestop is responsible for the function of the console.

If the console is not working as expected, take the console to Gamestop and show them that the console turns off.

Have them repair or replace the console.

Which Xbox One is it? Also what warranty do you have on it. Maybe you should take it back to Gamestop for replacement.

Thanks. Yea I will likely return and upgrade. It was my first Xbox so just wanted to make sure I didn't miss something obvious.

Hi, It sounds like you have checked everything I would have suggested. I personally would get back in touch with the retailer for an exchange or you could try Microsofts support site and use the contact us feature to see if they can suggest anything. I am
sure others will jump in if they have any ideas. Hope you get to solve your issue.

Xbox 360 Slims, as far as I know, keep themselves from overheating by shutting off if they get too hot. I've been constantly using my Xbox 360 Elite for a year now and no RRoD for me
