    Dear XBox Support,

    my XBox One (bought this past Christmas, refurbished) fails to recognize two things: 1) I have my games already installed on hard-drive (MineCraft, Just Dance 2015 and 2016), 2) I have the DVD of the game of interest in the DVD slot. Nonetheless, it still
    prompts me to purchase the game from the online store, and the three buttons on offer are: a) Purchase from online store, b) Cancel, and c) Help. I cannot state strongly enough how mindless and dysfunctional this game is, being a software (and biomedical)
    engineer by trade. If my surgery planning software were as abysmal as yours, it would have left a long trail of dead patients.

    Please advise. Why isn't the Xbox aware that I already have the software installed, and why does it not bother to check in the DVD slot?

    ever since I did System Restore, can't access Solitaire Collection

    sorry - should have added: I have Version 6.3 (Build 9600) of Windows 8.1. The error message I keep getting from the app says "this app can't open. Check the Windows Store for more information." The Store keeps saying the app is already installed.

    Renewed my gold account now Hulu will not work.

    I just renewed my xbox live gold account, when i went to go watch videos on hulu it keeps prompting me to get an xbox live membership. I already have one tho, why is it saying this?

    Anyone experiencing problems with Xbox Gold Free games conflicting with already installed games? More a headsup

    If you plan to keep on subscribing to Xbox Live Gold, you don't need to keep the disc and just sell it or gift to a friend.

    To resolve the issue with the installed game, you only need to uninstall the game you already have from disc version and then install it from xbox store.

    The short answer is no.

    Pulled this off of another site that discusses it.

    The Xbox One, in fact, already runs Windows 10. However, the version of Windows 10 on the Xbox One is a highly customized version of Windows 10 specific to the Xbox One console. That’s why there’s a lot of similarities in the UI between
    a standard Windows 10 install and the Xbox One and why there are a lot of differences in other areas.

    In answer to the question I believe you are really asking… A store-bought version of Windows 10 won’t install and run on an Xbox One. Part of the reason for this is the hardware signing. To install anything on the Xbox One
    hardware, you need to have access to the code signing keys and a store-bought version of Windows 10 doesn’t have that. However, as I said, it already runs a modified version of Windows 10.

    So you kind of know what the problem may be....yet do not offer a solution. Please let us know what to do. I have already gone through the PC version of the Xbox Insider app and unenrolled my XBox One from the program, yet I still keep getting this error

    I stayed offline and went into the Xbox Insider app on the console, got an error that Xbox Identity Provider is not installed and to visit the store to install...and yet I'm offline, so I go to the store to download but cannot since as soon as i go online, the update tries to start and yes, it fails still.
