Xbox one keeps losing internet when i need to do a update

Hi, i needed to do an Xbox update after i turned it on but the weird thing is i lost internet connection before it gets to start and no matter if i use wifi or cable. I click on my internet-put my pin code in and it say's all good then always tells me i need to do the update then lose internet again before it starts. For some reason i have no chance staying connected more than a few secs, bad thing is a game i was playing needs to "finish" the update as well so i can not play that game either. Can anyone tell me what the problem could be as my laptop and my friends smartphones do not have this problem it is only the Xbox one. Thank you

Hi, no it is not my internet i have tried that many times both wifi and with cable. I have tried many times and if i waited on trying the update my game was able to update so i was able to keep playing it on offline mode but it is when it wants to try and do the Xbox update it is then i lose internet, not sure why

Hello Black, welcome to the Microsoft community, I'll be happy to help you today;

I understand that your Xbox One loses its internet connection;

Initially I recommend that you restart your internet modem;

Unplug your modem from the outlet;

Plug the network cable into a different port on the modem;

Wait 3 minutes and turn it on again;

Turn on your Xbox One console and check if the internet connection is still lost;

I know why my internet keeps disconnecting. What im saying is my controller disconnects when i lose connection. It will reconnect but on rare occasions it will not turn back on. Dont worry about the wifi part. All I need to know is if the controllers are
supposed to drop conneection and then reconnect when the xbox all of a sudden loses internet connection. I dont lose control of the wifi.

Thats the weird part, the signal from wi-fi and connection to the router keeps the same, it justs lose the connection to the internet.

In AUTO mode it loses the IP address and DHCP error appears and in static mode it just loses the internet connection. But the connection to the router, the Wireless keeps the same.

i will test it on my brother in law's xbox one to see if it happens as on my one.

That ok if Microsoft wait to long they will be out the console business. When they loses support from all the offline gamers. Gamers that do not have good internet provider connection and people who can't afford to keep their internet. When Sony take over
USA sales Microsoft will be force to do something change or leave! Iike I said if they wait to long it will be leaving. Xbox One probably won't sale no more then 10 to 20 million if no change happen in Xbox One lifecycle.
