Xbox one keeps fusing

my son's Xbox one after 6 months of working fine has blown a fuse 4times in as many minutes. The rest of the electrics in the house are fine. Anyone have any ideas?

playstaion and xbox fuse the consoles

That would be like fusing the Chevy Camaro and the Dodge Challenger, never going to happen and would never want it to happen.

Fusing gamertags?

So for reasons I can no longer remember, I have two gamertags associated with two different Microsoft accounts. One is associated to my main MS account that I use for my e-mail and Windows 10 and such while the other has really only ever been used for Xbox
Live--the latter is where I have all my achievements and purchases.

It was never an issue until W10 came out as I can't play W10 games without changing the user on my computer and it's becoming really annoying.

Is there a way to fuse the two gamertags so I can use my main gaming related gamertag on my main Microsoft account? I don't care if all the stuff on my other gamertag gets lost, I just want the gamertag I've spent hours upon hours on to be tied to my main
MS account so I can use it effectively with W10.

Hey there!

Very sorry to hear! To try and understand the issue, have you had to replace the blown fuse each time this has occurred? Have you tried different wall sockets to power the Xbox One console to see if the issue persists?

That information will help point us in the right direction, but please be sure to try a different power source in the meantime to see if the issue continues.

Make sure you are also using the correct fuse. If you are in the UK, the Xbox One uses a 10 amp fuse, and the Xbox One S uses a 5 amp fuse.

which version of the xbox one is it. may have to be sent for repair as i would not attempt to use if blowing fuses.

13a fuse, is that the main cable for the xbox or an extension lead, if the main cable for the xbox this should only have a 5a fuse.

if it is an extension lead then replace the extension lead, but damage to the xbox may have accurred due to fuse blowing multiple times.

Checking main fuses on that segment of power outlets - it might be good on one rooms wall outlets but not another depending what else is there.

Xbox hardly is the last straw that make fuse blow.

So depending of part of world you have about 115V or 230V power grid.

So if AC is 2kW it means that 2000/115=18A or 2000/230=9A. A=ampere.

So check if fuses are higher than this amperage and whatever else is on a fuse.

Check even cooffee makers, computers and TV's or monitors running on the same outlet. Usually a room has one fuse on a rooms wall outlets, or just one wall in that room.

Firstly please make sure you are using the correctly rated fuse for the plug do not put a larger fuse in as this is not advisable and may not be safe. After this you will need to try to work out why the fuse keeps blowing I would first try replacing the
power cable from the wall outlet to see if the power cable is causing the fuse to blow.
