Xbox One keeps disconnecting from wifi, and then reconnecting.

I've noticed ever since I got my new dual band router that my Xbox One decides to stay connected to the network for a few minutes and then disconnect. Afterwards reconnecting again. Rinse and repeat after that. I've tried everything! Port forwarding, hard
and soft reboot, adjusting the network settings of my Xbox, etc. I just found out that I'm getting updates from the preview program but I'm not registered as a preview customer.

Apps don't ever work...

Are you sure its your Xbox and not your ISP ? (Internet Service) Have you tried disconnecting your Xbox from your WiFi network, rebooting your Xbox, and then reconnecting ?

 

Xbox One keeps disconnecting from Xbox Live with everything I use. Netflix, Online Multiplayer, YouTube, and etc.

I am having the same issues. My Xbox One keeps disconnecting from the wifi every 1-5 minutes and it's non stop. I have a 91-97% signal strength and still get disconnected every 1-5 minutes

I have tried portforwarding. Power cycling. Disconnecting and reconnecting to wifi. Nothing.

I even called my ISP and it isn't an issue on their side because everything else works perfectly fine.

Would really love to know what in the hell is going on with my Xbox one and I'm sure the dozens of other people would love to know.

 

Hey, F3arM0d3! I do see that you are part of the Preview Program for sure, however your issue is likely related to that gateway. Arris/Technicolor TG models are notorious for causing these kinds of issues with customers on Xbox One and 360 consoles.

My suggestion is to call up your ISP and have them put that device in bridge mode (so that the routing capabilities are turned off) and then purchasing a separate router. Best case is to get a standalone modem, however I understand how hard it is to get
one of those from ISPs at this time.
