Whether or not your ISP is the issue, I'd definitely get a more up to date modem from your ISP, a Docsis 3 modem. It might be time for a new router as well. Try Microsoft support or something because I'm not really sure what could be causing it if you aren't
getting disconnected randomly. If it's always right when you boot your Xbox One up then maybe Microsoft support will have a better answer for you.

I'm almost positive it's something internet related or settings related. 95% sure it's not hardware.

so if wireless is not the issue and the hardware seems fine (its been working not problem today since i had an issue at 2PM) can the router or modem cause this kind of problems for sure?

I would still hook up your Xbox One with an Ethernet cable instead of wireless. An outdated modem/router can cause disconnection issues but it's really hard to say without seeing it in person.

even if you have the best of the best in hardware (router) (modem) and speed you still always hard wire it no matter what?

Yes, always. I have the best modem my ISP can provide (benefits of working for them lol) and a $200 gaming router and I still have my Xbox One hardwired to my router because having it hardwired allows for the fastest, most reliable speed.

Xbox one keeps disconnecting from Network having to hard reset?

Not long after the Xbox One was released my daughter ( who connected wireless ) got random disconnects. We checked with our broadband provider ( BT here in the UK ) they run line tests, everything came back fine, no faults etc.

Like others have suggested here, we moved her Xbox One and used a cable for a week, not one problem, went back to using wireless and the problems started again. Luckily since then we have managed to connect her by cable and no problems since.

Weird thing is though, at the time as well as her Xbox One, her laptop, iPad, phone etc were all connected wireless aswell but it was only her Xbox One that use to lose connection.

Another thing that may be worth trying is deleting your gamer tag and downloading it again, I've since posts on the Support Forums where this has helped others with various issues, including connection problems. Obviously if you do this, make sure you have
your correct email/password so you can recover your gamer tag!

    Good luck!

Lofty Who- so if wired fixed your problems in your opinion what did you see the problem was if the other devices didn't disconnect? doesn't the xbox one require much more power and speed to connect and play than any other device (iPhone, iPad, lap top ect?)

Cox says "the modem I have is not fast enough to keep up with the current speed I'm getting from us" which is (25mbps)

The reason why Lofty using an ethernet cable worked instead of using wireless could of been because of numerous factors. The distance between the router and the Xbox One, the amount of objects/walls between the router and Xbox One, how many devices were
using the wireless signal at the same time, etc. The fact is going hardwired is always better than wireless. Also I would highly recommend getting a more up to date modem from Cox if that's what they're telling you, why pay for a certain internet speed if
the current modem you have can't even support it?

^Absolutely this [without question IMO]. I know that some people may say it doesn't make that much difference, but I've said it before...
you couldn't pay me to use a wireless connection for my Xbox. In fact, my Xbox is the only device in my house that is hard wired.

Also, as a side note. Shortly after I got my Xbox (maybe within a few months), I was having a few random problems with connection. Random
disconnects (although they were very rare), but mostly video streaming and infrequent in game lag issues. Not long after that started I got a letter from our ISP, saying that our modem was no longer able to support the speeds we were subscribed to since they
recently upgraded their service and that we may want to upgrade. I did. Problems solved. I got the new modem set up the way I like, got the NAT open and now my Xbox has the most stable connection in the house. The only time I have any issues is when there
    are Xbox service alerts.

Xbox one keeps disconnecting from Network having to hard reset?

Using a hardwired connection is A LOT more reliable and faster, I always recommend having internet heavy devices such as video game systems, smart tvs, etc. hardwired. If you can, try it, and see if it disconnects still. If it's a fairly recent Netgear then
your router should be fine, but if your modem is outdated or not a Docsis 3 then you should definitely upgrade even if that's not your issue.

I highly doubt it's hardward related to the Xbox One because of the fact that it works for days at a time, if was something wrong with the hardware I'd assume it would be disconnected all the time or not let you online at all.

Xbox one keeps disconnecting from Network having to hard reset?

It could be a combination of internet and xbox hardware/software...however, you aren't likely to get an answer here. Keep trying with support (ISP and Microsoft).
