Xbox one keeps disconnecting from Network having to hard reset?

my xbox one at least once every 2 days will disconnect from xbox live and the only thing that seems to fix it is hard resetting the console. anybody deal with this or know about it?

Is anyone else having disconnection problems whilst playing xbox live fifa 19 on xbox one. Keeps disconnecting from everything anytime whilst playing and says youhave lost connection. Checked router and seems fine . Xbox is hard wired to router

 

Have you contacted your isp, to see if they have an issue and have you tried port forwarding?

 

they said that my router and modem for the speed I'm paying for the equipment is outdated. even though i am getting 25mbps on download speed that has nothing to do with connected to XBL?

 

who said that? and have you tried port forwarding? It could be a lot of things but I am not technical enough to help you trouble shoot, thats down to your isp, MS and any other company that effects your end to end experience.

If your internet is unstable it will disconnect, that where I would be looking first. (if port forwarding doesn't work)

 

so if i hard reset my console and that fixes the problem 99 percent of the time do you think it could be hardware related or its 100 percent router/modem/network issues?

 

I just don't understand why sometimes when i turn my xbox one on i have to hard reset the console to reconnect to xbox live then I'm fine. anybody else experience this?

 

When your Xbox One gets disconnected, does any of your other internet connected devices lose connection too? For example a laptop, smart-phone, ipad, tablet, etc. If it's ONLY your Xbox One, then it's possible it could be hardware related. If everything
disconnects then it's probably related to your ISP's connection or equipment. If your ISP has told you your modem/router is outdated then you might want to think about upgrading. Do you rent the modem/router from your ISP? Is your Xbox One hardwired or wireless?

my xbox one is a wireless connection. no nothing else seems to get disconnected like my xbox but doesn't the xbox require a stronger signal and is turned off and started up more often than the other devices.

What could be the hardware issue if there was one? also when i power off the console it always seems to connect right after that so don't you think if it does that its not hardware?

 

Well if it at all possible, I would definitely hook the Xbox One up via an ethernet cable instead of wireless. What sort of modem/router do you have? Maybe it's time to upgrade to something a bit stronger?

Personally I don't think it's an Xbox One hardware issue.

 

what is the hardwire connection going to tell me? also its a net gear thats seems to be ok but its more of the modem that needs the update COX said.

why don't you exactly think its hardware?

 

It could be a combination of internet and xbox hardware/software...however, you aren't likely to get an answer here. Keep trying with support (ISP and Microsoft).

 

Using a hardwired connection is A LOT more reliable and faster, I always recommend having internet heavy devices such as video game systems, smart tvs, etc. hardwired. If you can, try it, and see if it disconnects still. If it's a fairly recent Netgear then
your router should be fine, but if your modem is outdated or not a Docsis 3 then you should definitely upgrade even if that's not your issue.

I highly doubt it's hardward related to the Xbox One because of the fact that it works for days at a time, if was something wrong with the hardware I'd assume it would be disconnected all the time or not let you online at all.

 

i know the modem is a 2.0 and the router is about 3-5 years old.

Ive never been disconnected mid game or anything. its always during start up right when i turn my xbox on and then it says enter a disc or download the game in the store
